You should attack more, it’s ok to play pips and be defensive but at least on forehand you should loop. You asked why everything goes long, not sure where you play but altitude has a impact, I play in Los Angeles (westside) at sea level and also noticed I had to adjust because of Las Vegas altitude everything was going long, bounce was quicker and higher too, same happened when I travel to Argentina. Good match tho, the kid is good, I beat him on San Diego last year (I’m usatt 1985)

@caskal Bro you did not beat me and I didn’t even play you in San Diego. Honestly he plays fine and I don’t think you should tell him how he should play, especially how you play yourself lol. @olivero-j1r no prob! I'm using the der-materialspezialist the wall carbon. How's the texa? been thinking of trying it but just concerned about the feeling of a hybrid blade. Also, how often do you have to replace desperado? I tried it and pips started breaking in about 2 months😬
@olivero-j1r22 күн бұрын
@ I like the texa carbon. I have D80 on FH and feels good and fast. I’ve have the green reloaded since August and no pip break yet. @@olivero-j1r it lasts really long--about 8 months to a year. It's somewhat hard to control, which explains why my shots pop up, but what it makes up for in that department and disruption it makes up for in reversal and consistency

Well-played Vik and it's only a matter of time until you break through and pick up some big wins to reach 2000 and higher! Your opponent clearly adjusted strategy to playing more defensively and steady in the last two games after your blocks and twiddling caused him to make several hitting errors. If I knew you were about to face anti-spin that morning I would've been happy to help warm you up too. It's awesome that you're traveling to different tournaments and gaining lots of good experience so that you become more and more prepared for all styles of play! -Kyle

Bulusu's forehand looks terrible. You're supposed to hold your non playing arm up and out by your side for balance so that you're using your forearm and shoulders more than your elbow, your body should be one unit in table tennis. Chances are those pips are too easy for him,.....even if you use the new Grass d tecs,....which is useless,....better use a pip to block shorter and then, you must attack more,....you are far too predictable and on top of that you send him long balls to be attacked easily
@big_pip_energy_ttАй бұрын
I see, thanks for the feedback. I've found that with my occasional attacks with long pips, dtecs has much more durability than any other pip, so I've been using it to save money. Is there a pip you'd recommend that blocks shorter while still being durable enough? I've tried the dr. neubauer desperado reloaded and punch, and the dermaterialspezialist kamikaze.

@big_pip_energy_tt Giant dragon Talon national team is the best for blocking at the table in my opinion .Hellfire X seems to be working all right as far as the new pips are concerned ,.....from the cheap, classic , Chinese pips Bomb Talent works fine but it is terrible with the no spin ball, however, once you play with it for monts it becomes better and the emergency chops or the ones you use to vary the service return are very good ...

@big_pip_energy_tt Yes, Grass is durable but expensive for what if offers,.....you use a carbon blade so you better use a slower pip for short blocks consistently, not the sporadic short block here and there with Grass,which people do with fast blades,.....we, as blockers , need consistency more than speed,....better not live in the fantasy of fast blades,.... you got a good level and can improve further for sure,... good luck !!
