@@brendanhayes2752 The stuff chipping off is chunks of rust. I live in upstate NY and they salt the roads for ice. The older the vehicle and the more winters the harder they are to get apart. That's why I was surprised when the ABS sensor bolt came out.

I'm pretty sure it's a single, I'll have to get back to you on that. I have a friend who does large truck inspection. He took a look at it to make sure I wasn't throwing good money at bad. He said all the major components looked alright. I'm sure theres going to be a lot of stuff getting replaced with the cab. The trucks got a lot of crusty on it. Lol

The price of batteries is nuts! I got one for a tractor a month or so ago and it was almost $200.

@@fixing4fun 😂 Yea, figured with the age of it. Still though, it's nice. Will also outlast anything coming out anymore. Just like vehicles and motorhomes. I'd love to get my stepfathers 77 Dodge motorhome to fix. Will need at least twice as much put into it than what it'll ever be worth but it'll last 10 times as long.

Yeah it's just the outside layer under the windows were water got. The walls are 2-1/2 3 feet thick and solid.

@@fixing4fun what product/mixture are you going to use and how are you going to do the job ie tools, scaffolding, ladders, boom truck ?

@@darylhudson777 ive got a boom lift im usung its safe and no set up. I'm using S type mortar mixed with bonding agent. To prep the area I remove all the bad /loose mortar . I get the area to be repaired wet with a brush and water then use a piping bag to fill the voids. Then I finish it with a half round tool to knock off the high spots. Not sure of its propper name.

@@fixing4fun is there some type of a tube concoction that comes in a caulk gun or maybe a tool that's like a caulk gun that you can fill and squeeze out this mixture of S-Type mortar mixed with bonding agent

So im assuming you have some sort of a small repair to do? If you go to your local hardware store or big box store (lowes- home depot) they do sell tubes of stuff for masonry repairs that go right in a calk gun. There easier I just have so much to do it wouldn't be cost affective.

I'm hoping! When I get the project all done ill add up the costs and let everyone know a total price.

@@fixing4fun I am going to have another truck, God willing, to work and also use it to deliver groceries and items of need to those in need, plus mow their lawns for free, etc. I want an old one without the costly sensors, computer stuff. 1994-97 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Crew cab 12 Valve Diesel, 5 spd. Manual, A/C, Heat would be ideal
