The Drummer looks nervous about MES The Master Of Uk Alternative Godfather of watching him Bet MES ran a tight ship with his band members over the years ✊👍 What a Legend MES Was a true One off🎉

He wrote the title to this tune a month after a fan sent him a book of poetry titled Free Range. He changed his vocals from Auth Manc' to a weird neo Yank drawl after the same fan sent him a demo tape experimenting with using Lou Reed'ish vocals. JUst sayin' it true the sayin' -" great" artists steal"

In every form they were the coolest uncool band that has ever been and ever will be. Like a quartz-locked machine with an MES shaped spanner bouncing around in the works ripping teeth off the sinister cogs. It's still tragic that we will never see the like again.

There have been many talented people in pop music. Very special talents. But over time i am leaning towards Mark E. Smith as our one true genius. The belligerent drunken old phet head. I'm so sad he is not alive.

We live in an absurd world, and it’s the artists who seem to border on the unhinged and deranged who respond to life with the greatest accuracy and authenticity. That’s how I’ve always felt about MES. That lad blazed his own trail.
