This reminds me of the deep spiritual whimsical love I feel towards my mom. I grew up with an abusive father in way or another and looking back at my childhood, despite all the chaos , there was just this air of freedom and magic and hopefulness as long as she was around and i would dream beautiful ethereal dreamscapes because of how she loved us and my dreams took me to far mysterious lands where i feel we’ve all been to and this song made me feel that

if you listen to this closely you can hear “here come the planes” I think this a direct look into the future of 9/11 and if you continue to listen to it, it makes a lot of sense.

Laurie comes from such an interesting epoch in musical history. There was lots of musical experimentation. I consider myself fairly astute and a fairly able person to unwind poetic profundity but with all of that said I often found myself lost with Ms. Andersons prose. The thing about it is that both the prose and the music always hit me at a gutteral level and the music always evoked a actual physical reaction. It is so deeply lovely and profound at the same time. One of the most peculiar things about Lauries music is that whomever I played it for, Jazz Musicians, Metalheads, Folk-music officianados, pick your poison, everyone, once they have heard her, fall in love with her music, it is truly a peculiar effect that it seems to have on anyone with ears.

This is so frustrating. I've seen and hear Pat talking about this so many times, but I want to him, or someone else, explain how it actually works. How are the drums and all the other instruments controlled if they're not just programmed? He's not just playing along with effectively a backing track, is he?

Judging by the breadth of comments and reactions, this is Rorschach test. I just heard it for the first time. I like it a lot. I think it pulls brain rhythms into sync with it. Not an earworm…a mindworm.

this song makes me grieve already for my mom and she has not passed. instant tears every time. it reminds me of when i was a drug addict and she would message me all night to know if i was okay and telling me to come home.

Emmylou has been my idol since i first heard n seen her sing. she had this unique' soft; gentle voice. she never tried to over shadow anyone she sang with. her voice alone made a MASTERPEICE OF A DUET. Every singer she sang with were very very LUCKY to have her voice mixed her 1 OF A KIND VOICE.
