i run my tube screamer into a muff with the gain at 0. I use it as a mid boost with some compression to go into the muff , to tighten it up, and fill out the mid range. i also usually set the muff tone a little toward the low end, and crank the tone control on the tube screamer

Awesome work from you guys again! If you’re available Monday Sep. 9 at 4pm EST Hello Sailor Effects is doing a live stream with Simon of JSA Effects to do a deep dive into the TS circuit topography and how he approaches the different mods and designs he uses them for. Keep it weird and quantum processing for All!👍🤙🖖

Sounds good, but i like more tube screamer into big muff, gives more string definition and i like my clean a little crunch with the tube screamer

TS followed by Muff is objectively better and anyone who disagrees is wrong and bad. The TS kneecaps the Muffs powerful wall of noise while adding its own layer of nasally mids and attenuating other frequencies and destroying harmonic content. Using the TS before the Muff allows it to impart tonal qualities the Muff is lacking while having its shortcomings completely overpowered. Other good pedals to run in front of the Muff include: the Boss DS-1, ProCo Rat, an overdrive with a 3 band EQ such as literally any Wampler drive( bass and treble at 0, mid at 10), ehx Hot Tubes before as a drive or after as a clean boost, any of the above pre-Muff with a transparent drive (Timmy, Pure Sky) as a post-Muff Boost. I've lost count of how many Muff buffs I've tried. I've stacked 3 to 5 drives and boosts pre and a couple more post and was blown away. The secret is that it takes next to no volume or gain for a drive to impart characteristics upon the Muff. The Muff will swallow the drive and gain its abilities like Kirby.

@@GourdTech cool what do you use to clean out your screens after printing.
@GourdTech2 ай бұрын
@@eross21 I wipe the ink off with mineral spirits. Then before I reclaim a screen I'll use dish soap and water and scrub it off. The mineral spirits leave a residue that seems to lock the emulsion into the screens. That seems to do the trick to get rid of it and let the screens come out looking clean.
