Was curious to look her up after listening to the BardMobile version of Wuthering Heights. I don’t know if her audio book version is anywhere else because it’s from the Talking Book and Braille library but she is my favorite narrator. Also, I love love A Christmas Carol. My friend and I listen the book every year.

Best Groucho impersonator ever! One subtlety that Frank gets right about the moustache, although he doesn't mention it, is that the moustache extends above the nostrils on each side. This both creates a bigger, wider moustache, and helps the illusion of a more cartoonish nose.

I agree, but I also see the question of mortality being asked over and over again. When Ludie, as a baby, asks his mother to explain to him about dying. How Carrie is trying to hurry back to Bountiful before she dies. How Carie tells Ludie, as an adult, how they’re connected to the land and no matter how things change they can never lose what it’s given them.

We did not like it at all and left at intermission. Seven guitars were misleading. We expected music by guitars.

This was a masterful performance.

This amazing performance by Vanessa Severo perfectly embodies the vast range of Frida through multifaceted methods (Suzuki) of choreography & drama - of course some of my awe stems from the fact that this solo performance is also the playwright... Which gives rise to sharing her deeply personal and introspective play (on words) "a self-portrait". I loved it - Thank You for bringing this to us! 👏
