It was dusty and dirty because it was in storage for a long time. The leather also needed to be conditioned.

@WatuhhАй бұрын
@@ASoundscapeofOurOwnhmmm. I’d say the numbuzin No.1 Clear Filter Sun Essence. I have not tried this one, but from what I’ve heard it’s great. And then the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen (make sure it’s the yellow packaging). This one has more of a matte look. The texture is a bit thicker. But once you start rubbing it in it thins out and it definitely has a velvety finish. Which for a Korean sunscreen is kinda rare lol. I do like that one quite a bit

Wow, so many tingles - I love your voice! Friendly suggestion that I think working on your thumbnails and video backgrounds could really help your channel get the recognition it deserves ❤
@ASoundscapeofOurOwnАй бұрын
Thank you! I really am trying with my thumbnails but I am not artistically inclined... I don't know HOW to work on them or I would =( For background do you mean my desk? Should I put like a sheet down? Or like props? Any advice is very, vey welcome!
@mw5425Ай бұрын
@@ASoundscapeofOurOwn Please remember these are just suggestions and you can take them with a grain of salt, but I work in marketing so sometimes I can’t help myself. 😂 Thumbnails: I noticed most popular ASMR KZbinrs use one well-shot, standalone image for their thumbnail. If they have text, it’s very minimal. I’d also pick one or two minimalistic fonts and stick to them for every video. For example, the font you used for your YesStyle haul or Dossier review are nice and clean. Video: If you’re going to be shooting from overhead, try to create soft, even lighting, because right now, there’s glare in certain areas and not others. Putting down a black or white sheet as a background will help with this because it’ll get rid of the reflection on the table. I’d also look into supplementary lighting. Profile photo: I would use an aesthetic picture as your profile photo instead of the logo (could be your mic, hands on perfume bottles, etc.) Banner: I’d pick something that looks more simple and tranquil that matches the vibe you want the channel to have (if you don’t use it already, Canva has great templates). Anyway, hope this helps.💜
@ASoundscapeofOurOwnАй бұрын
@@mw5425 This is very helpful! I agree about the lighting but it was better than just the other light I had before. I may try some different angles for both lights and see if that helps. I agree about the fonts now that I look at it (I am trying to use the colour wheel too when deciding on a colour scheme). I've only used Canva for infographics but I guess I should try it out! Thank you!

The ameer al oudh is so ridiculously strong on the synthetic oud. I hated it at first, but after a while of leaving the cap off and letting it sit for a while it's starting to develop into something nice. Just had to let it grow on me.
@ASoundscapeofOurOwn2 ай бұрын
Agreed, a lot of scents do better after sitting for a while with the cap off, not just middle eastern brands. As it is BBQ season, I have found myself using it as a room spray. Smelling the BBQ sauces and charcoal makes me hungry so I use Ameer Al Oud to soften the smell and make it more perfume-ish. Works like a charm!

@ASoundscapeofOurOwn2 ай бұрын
No oh! What was it about the coconut milkshake that you didn't like? The sweetness? I find lime notes to be very hit or miss for me because they can come off as screechy. The Tahiti Island dream was my favourite of the fresh, fruit scents I tried but I didn't see the Electric Limeade one so maybe I should give it a shot if I can find it!

It's so nice to see someone who likes rose a lot! I rarely come across rose fans and it's sad because it's my favorite scent. If I may ask, if you had to recommend a rose scent for someone on a budget that isn't necessarily a straight rose (like the Yardley one, though I do adore that), ideally not sweet or fruity (I prefer woody scents like cedar to fruity or vanilla-like ones), what would you suggest?
@ASoundscapeofOurOwn5 ай бұрын
Tea Rose is rather a dry rose and a little woodsy. Unisex and men's rose perfumes tend to go more woody too. Khallab by Ajmal is a spicy woodsy rose for example (unisex), Lattafa Rouat Al Oud though that is also a leather and patchouli scent. Woods Of Windsor True Rose is nice and Monotheme Venezia has a few rose scents that are great too!
