Best music after lighting the torch, hands down. London 2012 really does have some of the most recognizeable music ever in the history of the Olympics.

Remember earlier in the ceremony when they highlighted British pop/rock music and there was no Pink Floyd and I thought -why’d they get left off? This is why, saved for just the perfect moment.

Okay I knew there was some level of effort put into this, but I DIDN'T KNOW the bar was THAT HIGH (well I mean it is the olympics after all) I loved this show to pieces, knowing they rehearsed for most of (if not) all of it is nothing short of incredible. And with no mess ups and accidents. Minus the fourth cauldron torch not functioning but it was lifted in the closing ceremony anyway :)

Absolutely amazing opening ceremonies. The best of all the ones I've seen over the years. Vancouver 2010 Olympics will live on in our collective memories forever as one of the most magical experiences. Wish I could go back in time to re-experience it live all over again. Proud Canadian here!!

I did not like this. I LOVED it. I thought about how many dozens/hundreds of times I listened to that song alone in the dark, likely baked, looking inward, wasting space; and then to have it featured on the world stage as a celebration of the greatest in human physical achievement and pride. It brought me to tears. Still does to this day.

Truly incredible. I can't believe I never saw this. That's what makes Pink Floyds music so special is that is so universal and can have many interpretations. Timeless art.

This was an incredibly produced montage of Iconic Summer Olympic moments to the immersive sound and lyrics of Pink Floyd with the backdrop of the Olympic Cauldron and Fireworks. The production team should be so proud of this, Amazing!
