Great reaction, totally on point with Layne Stayley's story! Okay, moving on from 'Dirt', we have selections from 'Jar of Flies', such as "Rotten Apple", "Nutshell", "I Stay Away", and "Don't Follow" (Why doesn't this song get views?! It's a stone-cold classic! Fuck's sake, people!).. Anyhow, we get on to their third album, and I recommend "Head Creeps", "Heaven Beside You", "Frogs", and "Over Now". Be forewarned, AIC's last studio album is a haunted house. Layne is the ghost. God rest his soul.

My favourite song by AIC is God Am, from the self titled album. You can hear the hurt in Layne's voice as his addiction took hold of him. A sad but awesome song from a very underrated album. I'm going to be 50 soon, but I was just 16 when I saw AIC live for the first time. Your absolutely right, we need more music like this...Much love!

I think Bush did more great songs and typified the alternative era than any other band other than Nirvana. This is not a one-hit-wonder band. They must have at least six songs that were played on the radio over and over again that people just loved. Amazing that they have become one of the bands that have somehow slipped through the cracks of music history. There are so few reactions to their songs when you do a search, and it seems like the ones they do hit on weren't actually considered their best work at the time. So many bands that are fully recognized today are either one-hit wonders or, maybe, at best three to four (?) songs for the very best bands. Let me give you the top six Bush songs that were the most popular in the day, any one of which would have made a band's name: "Comedown," "Machine Head," "Glycerine," "Everything Zen," "Chemicals Between Us," and "Little Things." I would love it if you would try out any one of these song and hopefully spread the word that this is a one of the greatest bands of its era that somehow got left behind.
