If the person sincerely repents and fulfils the conditions such as not going back to those sins and puts forth good deeds ans does much good for the sake of Allah then Allah forgives that person. وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَإِنَّهُ يَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَتَابًا And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance. قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ Say: "O 'Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. وَأَنِيبُوا إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ وَأَسْلِمُوا لَهُ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ "And turn in repentance and in obedience with true Faith (Islamic Monotheism) to your Lord and submit to Him, (in Islam), before the torment comes upon you, then you will not be helped. وَاتَّبِعُوا أَحْسَنَ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ بَغْتَةً وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ "And follow the best of that which is sent down to you from your Lord (i.e. this Quran, do what it orders you to do and keep away from what it forbids), before the torment comes on you suddenly while you perceive not!"

Also the ayah that the shaykh quotes in the video is related to if a person dies upon major shirk.

And Allah don’t forgive shirk your no longer a Muslim. I cry night and day. As the sheikh explained you can’t be ignorant in shirk. Allah didn’t forgive his mum and dad why would Allah forgive me

The full explanation is that you didn’t know. You will repent and do istighfaar and you will be forgiven. After this you must learn about tawheed and shirk and about Islam properly. I gave you links to the lessons to learn from. Allah forgives all sins of you ask for forgiveness and do not return to them as per the ayah in surat az-Zumar. The ayah that the shaykh mentions. The tafsir of that is if somebody does upon the shirk. If you died upon major shirk then Allah will not forgive you because you died upon it.

@@thereminder1763 sheikh explained even if you don’t know what is major shirk Allah don’t forgive as your no longer a Muslim if you were us Muslim country the hadd punishment for shirk is execution as this is the worse kind of kufr.
