hi Roman. Is there a keyboard shortcut for this or even better is there a way for the stream deck to toggle low latency mode on or off?

You can create a custom keyboard shortcut in Logic to toggle on/off. I'm not sure about the stream deck, but I don't think so.

Great stuff man. My question is will it work with the actual device? Meaning instead of plug-ins, will it work midi through the pedal itself such as Quad Cortex for example. That's what I'm trying to find out.

i dont see any difference when trying to use the ara version. if i do what you did it doesnt read it instantly it still records the whole audio. this plugin is driving me crazy lol

I know, it hasn't been working since I updated Logic. I'm hoping they fix it but it's been several months now.

Given that i bought this thing in order to play pre-assigned sounds loop by their own - just tapping once - (thing that im not even sure this machine can do), if you wanna use it live, should you connect It to your PC and then connect the pc to the mixer? Thanks

Yes, that is correct. Pad controller to the PC and then play the sounds from the PC through the mixer.

It seems like you mostly use 3rd party plugins. In that case, you don't need to use the least smart DAW. You can't use ARA and you can't search the plugins - it's super time consuming. Try Studio One 7 for just 3 to 5 days. Your workflow would be way better. You won't even need time to adjust.

Hi, thank you for this video. I open the melodyne ARA plugin yet still have the "transfert" button. When I hit "play" I don't have anything appearing in, I'm forced to read the entire track to transfert into the plugin like if it was in stand alone, do you have an idea of this problem ?

So far ARA is not working with Logic 11. I tried going back to Logic 10 but it still wasn't working after I updated. It's been a while now and I'm concerned that Apple isn't going to fix the problem.

Thank you for your video and also the tips of changing the buggy tag. By the way, I have a question which my Logic Pro 11.0.1 doesn't come with a folder/directory named in "Logic" underneath "Audio Units" like yours but all the Logic's AU plugins are listed by category in-between "recent" and "Audio Units" with the divider-line. Is there any workaround to fix it or do I miss any setup things? Your advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with this particular problem but maybe we can figure it out. Do you have any 3rd party plugins installed? It's possible that mine looks different because of preference files inherited from previous versions of Logic that I updated from.

@@RomanRiccio thanks for your message. I just tested it by adding a folder named as Saturation and adding 3rd party saturation plugins. After that, logic directory suddenly comes out underneath audio units, like what I watched from your screen. Hahah, there we go !

Yes, very interesting and useful and I‘ll immediately try it out. I knew Melodyne has to be the first plugin, but lately I didn‘t find/see the ARA entry. If still not, I‘ll probably have to deinstall my studio version and reinstall Melodyne again. I hope I can do that, it‘s not so easy to remove the whole plugin from the manager. Thanks for this video! Very good!

Hi, As you do, I use the MDP218 to drive many kind of device, softawre. each time I need to remap pads the way I choose. i.e. for finger drumming pattern, I want 2 pads for the same Kick To launch sample, I need 1 note for each pad, etc. my question is : Must I adapt Midi mapping in MDP218 with a saved pattern for each device, or must I change Midi mapping in each device with every time the same config in the MPD218. sorry for this pretty confusing question

Both approaches will work. I would consider if there are devices that use the same key mapping, and if so, it would make sense to create programs in the MPD for those. For devices that default to something unusual, I would probably try to remap them to something more common.

Doesn't matter which hardware, what sort of instrument, if you have an issue, KZbin vids are usually not helpful. Full of bluster, wasting your time, annoying. UNTIL you find the unassuming, pleasant video of the middle aged Canadian, that really helps you. EVERY TIME! 😀

@@RomanRiccio hey i’m using using Imac 2020 with 3.8GHz 8 core intel core i7 and 32 GB ram..and i’m keep getting cpu overload msg..so i tried all the troubleshooting steps like changing buffer size enabling low latency and freezing tracks but it didn’t work..then i tried using buses for every single channel strip for ex when there are 200 tracks i use 200 buses cuz i apply atleast saturation to every instrument which varies in the amount and type so will this help or worsen the cpu overload state?

@@navierproductions709 I've never tried to work with that many tracks, but if you need that many I think it might work better on a computer with an Apple silicon chip.

Didn't know this about logic. been using reaper for years and it has it's VCA basically built in to every channel. So when you open a volume automation, it sets the fader of the channel to 0 and a volume trim line is added at the volume the fader was at previously. You can do all your volume automation with the envelope and still use the fader for its "master" trim. These type of integrations make me choose reaper over other DAWs. No limit to plugin amount on a channel, automatic resampling of media (so never ever have syncing problems when mismatching media types). Just simple and obvious solutions to problems people have been working around for years.
