Thanks for the comment. 80% of the time the customers have just removed an old patio cover and had their roofing replaced before installing a new cover. On every potential roof mount installation we do a visual inspection and go over any possible re-roofing scenarios for that particular job. Some jobs it's as easy as removing one bracket at a time as they roof and other jobs require the patio cover to be removed to re-roof the house. Hopefully this helps with your concerns on installing a new roof mount patio cover.

We use a triangulated roof mount bracket. Works perfectly and performs excellent all year long here in the PNW. (it rains all the time) We have a video that shows everything involved with the roof mount installation.

We build in WA state, and most of the time we build above local standers 25lb snow 110 wind but we have done some out of town jobs at a 40lb snow load. The manufactures have engineering tables so we can design around any load factors.
