@@PatrickRose-ry4hi i honestly have no idea . Theres alot of different variables to consider … even if i knew every lil detail i still couldn’t tell you . Im just not that guy .. i just build stuff then go to the track and get disappointed until i twist the valve on the nitrous bottle . Lol

Put a manual brake system on there and the clearance problems will go away for the most part. I'm doing the same swap.

I did .. but after that my problem was my motor mounts and headers were not designed to work together so i had to abandon ship on that project .. i put a rowdy 5.0 in it tho

@@LateStartRacingTeam tell dad i said thanks … when i got the truck it was an ordinary old truck .. just looked like it had ben rode hard and put up wet .. i drove it around my small town for a few months and when spring time hit and it got warm i started the transformation and this is what i came up with .. i just got done cleaning it up .. i may pull it up in the yard in the morning before Church and do a video on it and what I have done to it thus far !! Btw im watching your video now !! Lol

Idk i didn’t put it in … i have a 79 mustang coupe that i could have the motor out and back in ,in about an hour back in my younger days .. minus the unbolting of my long tube header to do a starter swap .. this orange car belongs to a friend .. i wasn’t there when he put the motor in … he said his long tubes came out if a foxbody

This gives me motivation to fix the rear end in my 72. It’s been sitting on jack stands for over 6 months. Your truck runs good! Man if I could get mine to run 13s in the quarter I’d be happy

When i had a 3000 stall with a wore out automatic mine ran 8.28 @85 mph in the 1/8th .. it would wheelhop off the line so i had to let it roll out about 60 ft before i really nailed the gas … When you do make a lil video if it and put it on here i live to see other ppls builds i made a friend on here and now were fb buddies and were all the time showing each other what we have got accomplished … its just fun to me .. im just putting stuff on here every now and then so i can ho back and remenis when i get older .. ya know kinda like how they made home movies back in the old days ??? Except with youtube i dont gotta worry about keeping up with a bunch of tapes or dvd’s

Honestly i don’t know exactly … i met the owner when the engine was all apart and he showed me everything .. if i can remember correctly its a trick flow cam .. we looked it up and the rpm range is from 3000 rpm to 7200 rpm .. Let me shoot him a message n see if he remembers and ill let you know what he says .

I’m going all Cleveland in a maverick. A solid street strip car. Trickflow heads, 408 stroker. Maybe some juice on it. A maverick has always been my dream car!

Good gravy man !!! I cant help but look around and see just what a mess i made by working in town for 10 years and coming home and working til late and never really cleaning up … since i got laid off ive took several loads of scrap metal off to the scrapyard in a effort to clean up .. lol … Btw thank you … the rearend has 373 gears with spider gears out of an f150 . Those spider gears allowed me to go with 31 spline axles .. i know its only a 4 lug but with arp wheel studs how many horsepowers will it take to break them in a 79 mustang coupe ??? Probably way more than im putting down .right ?? Lol i stayed with 4 lug because i have 2 sets of 17 in cobra wheels and 2 sets if saleen einke wheels and 0 sets if 5 lug wheels …. Lol

Let me give you some advice .. i bought the mayflower lift .. when i put my 88 f150 reg cab long bed on it i gotta fold both mirrors in and when its on the lift the front wheels are against the front stops and the back wheels are almost touching the back stops on the kift … and all 4 wheels 15x10 with 33x12.50/15 tires on them are hanging off the of the outside edge if the lift .. but it lifts anything I’ve had on there just fine … so if your ever looking at a mayflower lift you know now that they are smaller that your typical shop lift you will find in town

Buddy im sorry i didnt reply sooner .. i just now saw your comment … i never got the motor in .. when i put a manual master cylinder on it i put the motor back in and i could never get the headers to bolt up … the motor mounts and the headers were not bought together so im thinking that may have ben the issue . Anything other than that i cant tell you because i abandon ship on the project and just put a 5.0 back in it

Yeah i gotta get an adaptor to do away with the brake booster .. tge way i see it its less weight .. beaides that it has a big enough cam in the engine id have to get a seperate vacume canister for the brakes … that gains weight and clutters up the engine bay … im around 260 pounds and 5ft 10 tall .. im a good size dude .. im quite satisfied i can mash the brakes hard enough with manual brakes to stop this rocket ship .. im not worried !!! Lol

Ive not got that far yet .. im hoping to finnish the truck up im working on tomorrow .. if everything goes right ill start on it tuesday … i have the kit to put it in but i am thinking the brake booster may have to go .. we all know the tall valve cover is gonna have yo stay to cover the roller rockers .

It's a stock 1979 460 with a cam intake and headers .. well I say stock it's 30 over but it has factory style dish pistons with 1973 heads .. it has a zf5 in it with a 350 gear .. I changed out my transmission fluid last night for some 5w30 synthetic motor oil and the trans is not at all as noisy as it was .. you may concider doing the same .

@@randypeacock8062 heck yeah !!!! I worked on a similar truck for my buddy about 5 years ago ..I have a 89 f350 dually I'm gonna put on 2004 f350 4wd axles and lift it .. it's gonna have a 460 zf5 in it and eventually it will be twin turboed .. I'll use it to haul my toys too n fro ..lol
