As a previous Traeger+ user, I have recently switched to Asmoke and I must say, the difference is incredible. The Asmoke Essential offers precise temperature control within 5°F, thanks to its dual sensors and new PID algorithm, which is a game-changer for me. The convenience of remote temperature adjustment and food temperature monitoring via the app makes the grilling experience much more enjoyable. The versatility of this grill is unmatched - it's perfect for grilling, smoking, roasting, and even baking. Plus, the Asmoke Essential is battery-powered and portable, making it great for outings. The battery lasts up to 10 hours and it's rechargeable, so I can grill anywhere, anytime. Also, the use of various flavored wood pellets adds a new dimension to my dishes. I couldn't be happier with my decision to switch to Asmoke. #Asmoke

Are homebrewers all insanely weak? This is the third video I have watched about this fermenter and all say it's soooo heavy and here I am hearing 50 pounds like "Oh, that is barely anything." like I used to carry 80 pound bag of animal feed when I was like 15. 50 pounds is not heavy!

I bottle from my 3 gallon FF. I want to use dextrose for carbonation in the future, not carb drops. What's the "best" process for adding the dextrose solution to the FF in order to get a uniform distribution of dextrose per bottle?
@countzero197210 ай бұрын
These conical units would be great if you had an overhead suspension system or powered hoist mounted from above with a steel ring around the waist and some nylon lift straps or something.. I have the smaller 3 gallon loaded with cider right now in the stand and that is heavy and awkward enough.. lol I like it so far though. My next will probably be the FermZilla | 27L Conical Fermenter V3.2 that is out now. I want to try fermenting under pressure and being able to rack right from the floating dip tube outlet on the Fermzilla to a keg!! no oxygen contact at all :)

You just calmed my heart bro. Just got a used keg for the first time, never touched used or even seen a keg with my eyes till yesterday. Thought they delivered the wrong order since I ordered for ball lock but it’s a ball lock conversion on a pin lock keg and it has an auto pressure release when I was expecting a manual. Thought it was bad since everyone uses a manual release valve on all the videos I see. That’s why I’m here. Thanks man for this video. You’re explanations are gold.

Mine went together well and did not leak. After the first year I decided to redo the Teflon tape on the male threads at the bottom of the conical where ball valve assembly screws onto it. 10 wraps and it was leaking very little,, took all night to see water at the top of the ball valve assembly. So I wrapped it again, dropped an O-ring onto the lip of the ball valve assembly where the very end of the conical would meet there, then painted the conical male threads with beeswax that I melted in a water bath with a pan. Wrapped 2 more layers over the wax, screwed it on tight and, It stopped leaking

I have the 3 gallon one. I’ll get me a 7 gallon when I finally get the room to setup. And I’ve had no issues with mine. Just remember to anyone who’s starting out on one of these. Do not over tighten the ball valve! Add water into yours and start off with it as open as you can and slowly tighten till it’s snug. The valve WILL break if you don’t. Remember the amount of weight from volume is a lot more than you think, cause it gets funneled down to a single little hole.

You suggest that the spray bottle can be kept and used several times but star san says the solution is only good for one hour. Have you encountered any problems with keeping it in the spray bottle and how long is it kept before you have to make a new solution for your spray bottle. I’m asking because my solution has been in my spray bottle for one than a week and I intend to use the solution for my next brew.

Virtually all the ebrew systems give you the same flexibility of recipes and brewing techniques. Spending all days setting up, cleaning and messing about is not brewing it is being a cleaner. If that’s what you like …. Fair enough, but personally I like making great beer, designing and brewing my own recipes and not spending hours tweaking an unreliable system to try and get a little consistency. Why is it a $3000 triple pot computer controlled three pump stainless steel ‘art piece’ is REAL brewing but a much simpler ebrew system is not? The both have controllers They both have pumps They both have the flexibility to brew virtually any beer style. But one takes hours to clean, and one doesn’t. I am guessing that ‘real brewing’ equates to washing the system. Each to his own….

No, but you can do a double mash to hit higher SGs. You could also add dme after the mash if you wanted. Thats my preference.

Have two of them when they first came out and ran a couple dozen brews; good upgrade from glass carboys; but has some significant issues. Making leap over to stainless unit now; as they are beyond their age and don't owe me anything. 1. Valve feels shoddy and requires 2 hands to turn; lots of force (almost feels like it will break). You can dislodge seal and cause a leak (i did). 2. Valve can capture product when closed and destroy brew; always open/close when cleaning. 3. Teflon tape needed for every tear/down and clean. Skipping the tape results in leak. Would of liked to to see a o-ring or other for a common take apart for "cleaning" each time part. 4. Lid can leak/warp; not a great seal; hole for airlock was custom (I drilled it out)... 5. When screwing un-screwing adapters on bottom; very easy to dislodge the valve and seal; again; causing a leak. Why they didn't use reverse threads here and a o-ring... blows my mind. Some minor engineering flaws unfortunately plague this unit; just keep those in mind, would of been perfect with 2-3 small changes. For the price; eh; not awful. I'd probably go with Catalyst if I was buy again in the "budget hobbyist range". My dream is a unit like this with a tri-clamp on bottom. I really dont need an entire stainless tank (oooo so shiny); just the valve. I may retro-fit one as a test.
@Wnybrews3 жыл бұрын
I haven't had the leak issues, but I agree with you about having some flaws. I use mine exclusively for wine now and I think its perfect for it. I use Ss Brew Tech Brew Buckets for my beers and The Catalyst for cider. Since I tend to have one going more often than not, both have found their way to continued use. Cheers!

Thanks for the video. I am doing my first batch ever. I added priming sugar in primary a week ago. Is it a good time now to add gelatin? Being a beginner i don't have force carbonation facility. So if I add gelatin now will it reduce whatever carbonation has happened till now?
@Wnybrews3 жыл бұрын
Hey! If you added priming sugar to the primary, its not going to carbonate. It will up the ABV a bit and thin the body slightly (probably won't notice). You want to add priming sugar during bottling. As in, priming sugar boiled and stirred in the bottling bucket before racking to bottles. Where you are now, I would cold crash and add gelatin. Give it a few days to clear, then rack to the bottling bucket when ready. Cheers!
@akshayrahalkar36983 жыл бұрын
@@Wnybrews thanks. I might have missed out on mentioning that I waited for two weeks after I pitched yeast. Then I added sugar. Will it still not carbonate? So now when I will cold crash it, i should add gelatin at the same time? Or i should cold crash. Wait for few days and then add gelatin?
@Wnybrews3 жыл бұрын
@@akshayrahalkar3698 as soon as its cold you can use the gelatin. And yes, priming sugar anytime before bottling day is just going to get eaten by the yeast and all the gas escapes trhough the bubbler rather than staying in to carb the beer. The carbonation happens in the bottles so the priming sugar has to be added just before bottling. As in, within the same hour as bottling
