how'd you apply to both cornell ED & georgetown REA? I thought that Georgetown's Early Action program restricts applicants from applying to any other binding applications.

I didn’t know Georgetown was REA, but I was deferred and then withdrew so I suppose it didn’t matter in the end 😅

Just pay the application fee and colleges will accept all applications 😂

@Tiffanyyk You are not permitted to apply early decision (i.e., what you did to Cornell) to another school and concurrently early action to Georgetown. It runs foul of Georgetown's early action policy. You indicated that you withdrew your application, but clearly you did so only after you were deferred early by Georgetown. You're fortunate that your application was not flagged by every other school you applied to (including Chicago), all of whom require you to abide by the terms of application to every other school to which you apply. These other schools could have (and in all honesty, should have) negated your application. Also, your high school guidance department should have acted as the appropriate gatekeeper preventing you from violating Georgetown's early action policy by requiring you to apply to either Georgetown early action or Cornell early decision, not both. Your school should not have sent the high school documents for your application to both schools under this circumstance. In any event, you were very fortunate that you were not caught.
