You say people won’t be happy once they are successful or have money. While I do think the mindset of that is important, what about the millions of people who just want to be able to pay their bills and simple things like get their oil changed on time? The relief of stress from just having enough to say not count change to get groceries would definitely make any human happy. I can tell you that as a fact because it’s happened to me. Setting up autopay on bills and not taking from Peter to pay Paul would overjoy me. Opening my eyes in the morning and the first thought isn’t the fear of checking my bank account balance would be bliss. Maybe your talking about the type of people who think a new million dollar yacht would make them happy. I wish more in this space would talk about the millions who just want to have basic needs met. Def more poor than rich in this world.

Hi. Sorry for writing this again, but I really need this information. I just wanted to ask: Are there any videos related to specifically depressive/suicidal thoughts? Right now I'm listening to your other podcasts (okay, more like I *was* listening, because now I'm on a little break), and I saw that you really know what you're talking about, and how much experience you have. Your videos help me a lot, and I get a lot of insights from them. The thing is, I was wondering if it's possible that depression simply comes from our thoughts. And if so, if you learn how to deal with them, will that help you recover from it? The idea, that "we should not follow thoughts, that cause us suffering," and comparing it to how our body reacts to physical pain - how it sends us pain signal, to avoid even more pain - really has helped me a lot. I always try to think of that rule every time I'm starting to feel paranoid again, and it really helps if you work on it. Maybe I can put the same method when it comes to my other, depressive thoughts. That's all I wanted to ask. Once again, I appreciate the effort you put into creating those videos for us. So thank you. Also; sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes. English isn't my first language.

I reccomend Dr Bill Petits videos, he also talks about the 3 principles, and low mood/depression. I reccomend Sydney Banks also, his videos might not make sense at the start thats okay. Also Michael talks about his depression/suicide thoughts a lot in some of his other videos because he actually dealt with them a lot and recovered. Also your english is amazing and try not to put too much pressure on yourself, you are built to heal :)

Yes, the 3P understanding can definitely help to overcome depression. But my experience is that it goes better if you dont look in the direction where depressive thoughts come from but the other way. Means: Dont try to figure that "depression" thing out. Look for where all thoughts come from, the deeper space, nice feelings. It's not your job to fix yourself, neither your thoughts. You're already whole underneath your thoughts. PS: the 3P are no "method" - dont use them as such. ❤

@@dominos1529 Thank you so much! I already checked his YT channel, and he is - as you said - talking about depression a lot. I'm definitely going to put his videos into practice. Oh, alright! Yeah, I actually knew that he had similar struggles because he was saying that at the beginning of some of his podcasts. I couldn't find a lot of videos that he's talking about, though. It might be because I was looking at the wrong place then, or either didn't put enough work to search them...- If it's not a problem for you, could you send me a link to like one, or two of his videos? Or if there's any playlist or something related to them? If it doesn't bother you, of course. If so, thanks in advance! And once again - thank you for the kind words that you wrote at the end. I appreciate it a lot. ^^ (I might have written too many "thank you's," but I genuinely mean it when I say this.)

@@dominos1529 Oh, and when it comes to Sydney Banks - I already had watched a few of his videos, and he really does say a lot of wise things. Although I've realised that watching those videos simply isn't enough, because I didn't put it into practice when it comes to my depression.-

@@BettinaRamm Thanks for the advice! So, as far as I understood, you have to not follow the thoughts that are depressive and try to focus more on the thoughts that cause us to feel nice feelings? With understanding how all the thoughts work, of course. I've also once heard a phrase, that "if a thought causes you pain, this isn't an objective reality, but rather subjective thinking (that simply does not represent the truth... or at least I understood it that way)" Oh! I see. If they're not a method, then what are they? More like a universal truth or something?

(Sorry for off-topic) I just wanted to say that I set myself up a goal to watch all of your podcast videos! Right now I am on a 28-th video ("Making sense of life in a whole new way"), and I have to say, that I already got so many little insights just from listening to them xd. That kind of state was also explained in the "Laser mind" episode (as far as I remember-) I'm doing this so I can hopefully get rid of my depressive thoughts. (EDIT: Maybe not get rid of them, but learning how to handle them-) If this will actually help me, then I'm telling you in advance that thank you for saving my life. And even if I'll still struggle at some point with depression, you already helped me a lot with your podcasts. Especially the "if the thought is causing you pain, don't think about that thought." part. I think it's very important since all my thoughts related to depression are causing me pain when I think about them - so that simply means that I should not follow them. One question, though: If I'm getting this right, can the "certain thoughts can cause pain when you think about them" concept be treated as our body reacting to physical pain, preventing us from feeling even more pain? (But the thing is that this time it isn't the body, but the mind). Technically, you said about it in your podcasts, but I'd simply like to know more about it. It's a very interesting topic, which I think I need some deeper level of understanding when it comes to this. (An insight in other words xd). Oh, and one last question, if you don't mind: maybe not in all circumstances, but can depression come from depressive thoughts? If so, will getting to know how to handle these thoughts help you start feeling happy again? (Also: sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes, English isn't my native language)

You should also meet Diljit Dosanjh - one such person who woke up in the middle of his life, got happy and tasted true freedom and happiness and got very very successful after that. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diljit_Dosanjh I see a lot of parallels between what you are talking about in this podcast of yours and what little I have heard about his transformation in life from the very little he speaks about this in his interviews. Thanks for this great insight, and happiness always!

Hi, thank you so much for explaining this idea of the present moment, in such a clear way. Your energy and gentle sense of humour make what you are talking about so easy to relate to. I listen to a lot of other speakers on the subject of the 3 principles, which are amazing and I have gained more understanding, however i always seem to gravitate back to your videos/podcast etc.to see what your 'take' on the subject I've been listening to is, if I can. Your soothing voice, knowledge and passion are so reassuring, and like you said, I have also struggled with the idea of the present moment but this video absolutely made sense to me, so thanks again.

Dear Michael, thank you for the image of intertwine world and how we can be used. I wonder why I have been thinking about this topic the last weekend 🙂 I just want to add one more little thing that came to my mind: God never gives up on us and if we refuse to help once (for whatever reason), He offers us a new opportunity the next time we can be available and the next time and the next time... Always ready to connect us with those in need of our presence or help and offering us many times joyful, certainly always beneficial interaction. Wise and loving beyond our comprehension.
