Is that a custom frame because I have never seen a slash gen 6 drivetrain on a frame that looks like a gen5?
@keefergoodwin16 күн бұрын
@@YaboyOli101 Nope, it's a gen 6 Slash. Swapped out the rear to 29" so probably looks a little different

Hey mate, im not usially fussed with gaps but for sone reason the first gap drop i just cant get the confidence to hit on triple r because of the weird compression just before it, is it better than it looks riding it and do you need to be going fast for it?
@keefergoodwinАй бұрын
@pizza4921 If you carry your speed from the trail, it's fine. I've also hit it from the fire road with not much of a run-up or speed, but still fine. I'd say you need to give a little pull-up too

Mate, How did you get your trek slash to be so quiet?! I have the sram XO axs build and it’s so noisy and makes all kinds of clunking over chunky terrain. I have to ride down in 2nd or 3rd gear so there is more tension on the clutch so it’s not clunking I’m going to swap over to shimano mechanical drivetrain to see if it helps
@keefergoodwin2 ай бұрын
I've got the xx t type on this, my previous slash had xx1 axs and did make a little more noise. I've not set up the lower idler/tension wheel how Trek recommends. They say 32mm away from chainstay, but I've done it too 22mm for better chain retention. You'd have to re adjust the rear gears doing that, though Hope that will help!
@K1ngJame5-mtb2 ай бұрын
@@keefergoodwin I also swapped to sram xx t-type derailleur to test out the clunk noise and it was still there. I’m going to try your suggestion about idler pulley
@keefergoodwin2 ай бұрын
@K1ngJame5-mtb hopefully that'll sort it. Will need to set up the rear gears again though
@keefergoodwin2 ай бұрын
@K1ngJame5-mtb also probably worth a mention, I swapped out to 29" rear wheel
