My wife had hyperthyroidism and drank the radio iodine for treatment. The parathyroids do more than regulate calcium. They have something to do with vitamin D regulation. My wife had muscle aches to the point she could barely walk up stairs at 30. 20 years later after numerous doctors they found low vitamin D levels. Her body could not regulate the vitamin D level anymore and she had to take supplements. Like a miracle the bone pain and muscle pain left after taking vitamin D. Doctors have a habit of cutting things out and telling us half the story or that they don't do anything. Or the real story is we just didn't know as much 30 year ago in medicine. You have to be your own advocate now.

Stay away from turbinate surgery. Turbinate surgery can cause Empty Nose Syndrome, which makes you feel like you are suffocating because your damaged nerves cannot feel the air. Even a small turbinate procedure can cause this condition. A responsible ENT will tell the patient about this possible outcome so the patient can decide for themselves if the surgery is worth the risk.

I went to many ENT and noone could help. I am adult with the fluid in the middle ear and whooshing and hearing loss. I did the T-tube surgery yo drain the fluid but it did not work. Please let me know what is the best way to get rid of the fluid and restore my hearing. Thank you
