Hi there, if you push a finger in each side of the plastic badge, you can easily push the rear plastic clip upwards and push the entire badge out towards the front. You can than repeat the process that you did, off the car on a bench, much easier to line everything up . I did my S3 which has the earlier slatted grille and less space to work with between the slats.

I managed to open my filler cap, not yet replaced the actuator. Lubrication applied which freed up the actuator as it was stuck. My side marker light got vandelized while at the dealer looked like someone tried to pry it off. Idk if the tech did it or someone else. There was a pry mark and eventually one day it fell into the wheel area and I was able to put it back. But then it fell again, but this time it wasnt anywhere to be seen. Whoa!! Did not know you switched from your B9 SQ5 to the Macan. Although same engine, The macan obviously is a little more sporty with that PDK helping it. How are you liking it? Been following your SQ5 Mods for a while, since for years I have thought about getting an SQ5/Macan vs my B9 S4 Also, what do you think about the B10 Audi S5, and Audi bringing back the Dual Clutch for it?
@midtenn_life6 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks for the following, wish I had more content to put out for the SQ5 :( Well....the Macan lasted a year....traded it in last weekend. It was one of those where I should have kept the SQ5 since, to me, wasn't a big enough change to fall in love with the Macan. For my daily life and use of the Macan, I felt like it was overkill and I was never going to use it for what I think it should be. I saw some info about the new S5 but I have not looked into it closely enough to tell....sounds like I should :)

Quick question do you think it was worth it going with the sq5 over the q5? I bought my wife a 2020 q5 because of the gas mileage and I heard the 2.0 4 cylinder is more reliable than the 3.0 v6. Have you had any issues with yours?
@midtenn_life10 ай бұрын
Depends on what you’re using it for. I knew I was going to modify mine and it was a better platform than the Q5 to do so. The 3.0 from the SQ is very solid. When I had it I could easily get 25+ mpg on my commute.

For cleaning an engine bay I sorta follow what Obsessed Garage does. Rinse, foam, scrub, rinse then mist with Meguiar's Hyper Dressing. Do that as a first step, close the hood and wash the rest of the car as normal. After the exterior is done pop the hood and give a slight wipe of any puddles or missed spots and you're set. Letting it dry naturally leaves a clean, not too shiny look. Really is the perfect product. From there I'd use a damp MF towel to wipe down the engine bay during normlal washes and in between engine bay cleans. Word of warning! If you have a hood liner skip sprayin it with foam/soap. Did it once on my Golf R and no matter how many times I rinsed it with the pressure warsher I never could all the soap out. Drove me crazy. Annoying part is Hyper Dressing is(was?) only sold by the gallon which is way too much as I do a 50:50 water blend. May only use it twice a year so it's just too much product which ended up going to waste. CarPro PERL is amazing on tires so I want to try it next on engine bay.
