Wise words! Everyone needs to decide what they want out of life. Each person will have a different answer. There are many ways to stay in touch and to be present without living close by. People are more interesting and happy when they are doing what they need to do for themselves, and loving families can see this and get the benefits of getting truly happy parents/grandparents.

I too am a widow, 7 years now. Married almost 50 yrs. One thing is, you never "get over it" as some people think. You just learn to live a new and very different life. I sold our RV when my husband passed away suddenly, thinking I would not travel without him. But, 2 yrs. ago I bought a new 25 ft. Class C. I have always been very independent, but I lost a lot of self confidence after he passed away. Having to make major decisions, selling our farm that I could not keep up, moving to another state being closer to my children. In my mind, I just kept saying, I can do this and I will honor my husband. In reality, what choice do I have, sit down and let life go by or do things I enjoy. Life is so very different now. I have good days and bad days and think I always will. I have friends who never did any type rving and they think I am so strong in doing this alone. Well, maybe, but life does go on and I just want my husband to be proud of me. Just my two cents worth.

Wow! You went over so many different things in this video. I want you to watch it again and listen to the parts at the end where you remind yourself you are a strong woman and you're not going to be concerned with what insecure people say about you. That is the right place to be. You don't owe anything to anyone other than to yourself to be all you are. Additionally, you are mourning and you need to grieve your loss however and whenever you need to, without concerns about others' impressions of what you should be doing... Grief is very personal. If you aren't a journaler, I encoucrage you to do so. I have for many years but especially in the last few it has really helped me. I was processed out of the work environment in the city I was living in last year and moved to a small town three hours from my family and friends, my "normal." I am going back in a few days after nine months. I don't even know what the future really holds. I just hope I don't have to try working full-time again because I've been too beat up by it in the last four years. I have no intentions of going away quietly because, I too, am a strong woman and I have things I want to do and places I want to go. I am now more of myself than I can remember all the way back to the age of nineteen, sad but true. And I find a lot of younger people are more accepting of me than older ones, and honestly I don't care! I'm out to have fun, live life and encourage anyone I can. Blessings to you, dear Dora!!

Try not to worry. I’ve went through a similar situation seven months ago and things have gotten better. I had a lot of up’s and downs, but improving and you will too. God has a plan for all of us and he will never lead you where he cannot keep you.

Did you get an MRI? Something made it happen. My daughter’s mother in law had a seizure and found out she had a small tumor that was cancer. Please get yourself checked more. I’m glad you have your son to help you. Prayers
