Insane job. I'll admit I just skipped to the Aria part of the run, but I'll assume the rest was just as well done. For some floors it seems you're able to find the boss and staircase pretty quickly. Is there a trick to that?

Well, after hundreds of hours playing this game you kinda start getting a feeling for how the layouts usually work. Digging through secret rooms will often reveal a shortcut to the exit, combine that with general zone generation knowledge (z1 exit is usually down-right, sometimes down-left or up-right, z2 exit is usually the opposite direction from where the start paths lead, z3 is a mystery but you can still look for secret rooms or large open areas to spot the exit, z4 is always opposite corner from the start, z5 is always the biggest room) and you can often predict where the exit is.

yeah I hesitated a bit at the start before killing the rooks and bishops which cost me time, but I still would have probably been fine if I just left that left pawn alone and rushed to the top instead but yeah, I'll keep trying. hopefully I get a different boss next time I get to 5-4 lol

server rollback, which sometimes happens with high ping. server side it registered that the other player hit DM before I used the holy water.

The only good run i had was a sub 9 pace run as coda lol. Died to a bounce trap ar the end of 4-2. I actually used this a motivation to try speedrunning again.

Also at 12:00, successfully killing the monsters in the room just to fail to count the ice tiles correctly in time is just... so relatable and I actually cackled like a witch when I realized what happened
