Loved Dragon Age since Origins. Bought Mass Effect 2 because I heard that the dialogue system for DA2 was going to be like ME, and stopped playing ME2 after the first hour or so to buy ME1 and play that first. Played ME1 & ME2, and loved them, before DA2 was released. So, the ME style combat doesn't put me off the Veilguard. I only every really used the tactical combat system in DA to give a command to the companions before switching back to my character and continuing the action. The graphics look great to me, and I'm looking forward to diving back into Thedas and seeing where the story goes.

It's completely valid to prefer a gameplay type or even identify DA as a CRPG and nothing else but at the end of the day, as you said, the franchise has been turning more and more into an ARPG since II. That being said, I liked ME and never played DA for the tactical aspect so I'm aware I'm not objective at all, lmao.

That’s why everyone puts their camps at white springs. It’s the only abnormally luscious place on the map while there are some less green nice rolling hills elsewhere it is pretty much as good as it gets especially with the assultron prostration at all times is nice

yeah, nms is not an easy game to just pick up and enjoy, I will admit the quick menu is a bit of a maze and not intuitive at the start. it takes a bit of understanding of the game's features before you can fully experience it. Also, some of your complaints like the mining laser being weak or the pulse drive being slow can be fixed by just putting upgrades on your gear. The game is not for everyone as it can be overwhelming. but for players who love the game and want to explore every aspect of it, they could pour in 100s if not 1000s of hours.

The sentinel system is confusing, but they all have their abilities... Take out the triangle sentinels first, they call in more sentinels. Also the smallest sentinels heal the others. hope this helps!
