Yeah, from what I can figure out through the serial number it was made in Japan in 2000. I have two other Soundgear basses that tell me what the model is on the back of the headstock but this one doesn't...

We've been arguing about fuzz first vs drive first since the enlightenment. One of the most thought provoking questions to arise in this day and age is "why don't KZbin guitarists record directly to an interface?" As for the video topic, if you're referring specifically to adding mids to a muff with a tube screamer, conventional wisdom is the last pedal has the final say. In the case of the Muff and the TS, we have to set that rule aside. The TS slightly attenuates lows and highs so in putting it after the Muff not only are the mids not there to boost it makes the rest of the signal thin and dampened. You have to front load the Muff with a rounded, mid-forward signal then let it do its thing.

Just bought one today, the 40w and the eq is pretty much unusable due to hiss and even when nothing plugged in and all eq is off there’s still a hiss, is yours the same? I can here some when you’re playing but not sure if that’s just your bass. Really disappointed.
@EdKlingenberger4 ай бұрын
That sucks. On my amp, the hiss is prominent with that specific bass. I recently picked up a Stingray and the hiss is all but gone when I use that.
@The-King-Murphy4 ай бұрын
I’m returning mine, even with the volume and Eq at zero I can hear it. Shame because I liked the sound

I notice a lot of distortion with my Rumble 40 with my 5-string when playing the low B. I have everything at middle, master at 11 o'clock it gets even worse if I turn on the vintage setting.
@EdKlingenberger4 ай бұрын
Hmm... I haven't had that problem but I usually record with the master at 10 o'clock. Maybe back off the gain or even the bass a little? That's all I can think of at the moment.

Not much but mega seems taller and wider...I know it's not got panning but almost like the the fur of the distortion is spaced the spread out ds1 is thinist...turbo has most noticeable bass....push........like the tubular compression of a turbo housing in use...you know alot of these similar pedal do more pushing and pulling on the signal than out right distortion
