please people try the best you can to keep ethanol away from your 2 stroke engines , its hard i get it but ethanol is a natural attractant of water, thats why in Canada There WAS hundreds of people sued the gas companies an skidoo makers for not telling users as 2 strokes ethanol can an will absorb water from the atmosphere especially from a steel tank thats open!! an a side note I *NEVER TRUST OIL INJECTION SET UPS FOR 2 STROKES!* I BLOCK THEM OFF AN PREMIX THE GAS BEFORE I POUR IT IN THE TANK, seriously ALL IT TAKES IS A PLUGED UP LINE OR PLUGED OIL JET an you got a seized up engine with warped aluminum heads! either way cool bass boat!! ***P.S. if that model has the electric choke thats hooked up to the ignition an you need to push the key in an hold it to keep the choke engaged they go bad for no reason an will come on while your out doing speed runs trying to get the boat up on its pad for those bass tournaments! so check it out i think its bad solders an as you know the choke clicking on an off or even just for a millisecond will have it run like crap especially with bad solders as you pin the throttle an jolt the cable around it may cause it to foul an run like poop! . *gbyaa!!!!!!!!!*

We have the same one. It turns over and starts running, but sounds like it's lugging a square tire, then gets tired and shuts off. Any ideas?

Of all the extreme duty sensors and such in vehicles, too bad they don't have compression sensors on each cylinder so you'd know things were FUBAR before you drove it further.

Simple fix just take your temp sensor off put in boiling water around 180-190 the 2 wire circuit should remain open only if the circuit closes and the boiling water is under 190 then you have a bad sensor if not proceed with the testing of next temp sensor same method

Vinegar & water. 2 parts Vinegar 1 part water will dissolve all that hard build-up. Soak thoroughly for a day or two then flush constantly with the vinegar solution breaking down the electrolysis.

Im sorry, it was having a fuel delivery issue. The video was primarily made for the customer to see that the boat is running pretty well, and if the customer was happy with its performance, the customer had rebuilt his fuel transfer pump and had assembled it wrong, and we simply corrected it. But I thought maybe I would keep it public as it’s a good video to show how the OptiMaxx runs under a load stationary at least.

I just did a quick inspection on my lower end bravo and notice a bit of play side to side and a bit of wear on those flaps. I assuming it’s a full tear down? To fix it right

I need help can’t find a mechanic that isn’t 3 weeks out before than can take another boat. I have a 2011 mercury optimax 150. I can not get boat to idle. If I crank it in gear it will run and if I let back off it dies again. My first boat and struggling to figure out what could be the issue. Also when I get to about 3/4 throttle I get a constant beep that don’t go away unless I let off throttle a little bit

Well, you have to start at the fuel system. I mean, there is a lot of things it could be honestly, but I would first test the fuel pressure, the air compressor, air pressure, the. air compressor, also has a temperature sensor. You will need a scanner to plug in to look at the perimeters and the readings. The VST tank has a high pressure pump in it. You also have a low pressure pump for the VST mounted on the side of it. And you also have a fuel transfer pump. I mean, there is a lot of things that have to be looked at. unfortunately. I don't think it's something for that. average person. It even takes a shop a little while to work through it. I wish there was more I could help you with. but it would be very difficult without. actually having my hands on the boat. I am sorry.

Hello. my engine is a suzuki df 90A 2009..and it has been standing without starting for approx. 5 years...now I turned it on, the engine worked for approx. 15 seconds and it turned off and I noticed that the chain had skipped...is it necessary to put a new chain and guides and tension ? or just put the old one back in its place?

The chain skipped? That's a pretty serious problem. Are you sure that the chain skipped.? that doesn't. sound right to me.
