What size fuse for the fuse tap?
@aurdraco11 ай бұрын
Great vid, thank you! Question: What did you do for a fuse box cover after installing the fuse tap? Just grind plastic down on the stock cover so it cleared? I don't think I've seen anyone address that. TIA.
@DylanCogar30211 ай бұрын
I have been running with the cover off for a while now. When I get around to cleaning the car up some more, I’ll probably look for a way to splice into something and remove the fuse tap.

When you remove the Schrader valve you need an adapter to accept the pressure sensor’s 1/8” NPT fitting? Does that come with the Lowdollar Motorsports sensor? Or they sell the adapter separately? Or you sourced the adapter elsewhere? Thank you! This is a very helpful video.
@DylanCogar302 Жыл бұрын
You will need to source the adapter. I happened to have one because I had a pressure gauge there before. LMR, Jegs, or Summit have them.
@aurdraco11 ай бұрын
The Shrader valve is 1/16" NPT. I already had a 1/8" to 1/16" T junction to mount a fuel pressure gauge off of it. No idea why I didn't find a bushing 20 years ago but now I was able to just add the sensor to the other output so I still have the gauge in the engine compartment, in case I need it while fiddling around and don't want to muck about with handheld or a laptop for whatever reason, and the sensor feeding the Term X data. Did something similar with Oil Pressure sending unit in that I created a 3-output junction (super gaudy lol, 1 for stock gauge, 1 for pillar-mounted mechanical gauge, and 1 for Term X).

+Riley Owens The first IAC (Idle Air Control) that I put on my truck was faulty, so I tried one from autozone and it helped my problem slightly...I would replace your IAC. I most likely have a vacuum leak somewhere and can't find it, but I'll continue to update this video. I've been driving the truck since the video was posted with no other problems.

you every figure it out?
@DylanCogar3028 жыл бұрын
A new Idle Air Control valve and gasket helped probably 30% of the problem. Still having the hanging RPMs to this day. Haven't had any other trouble, and it doesn't seem to be hurting anything but a few miles per gallon. I'll give an update if I ever figure it out one of these days!

Did you ever figure it out
@brunobiava4833 Жыл бұрын
@@JaysOffRoadRecovery I can't say wether he has or not... but if I had to make a diagnosis, the first thing I would check are the Vacuum Line Connectors between the Throttle Body and the Fuel Vapor Canister...on my 94 Mazda B 2300 (built by Ford at the Edison Plant), I discovered mine had been disintegrating under the Throttle Body. Had started the truck yesterday afternoon and it acted like a Wright Cyclone with bad plugs on a cold day... Popped the hood, found Connector on the Canister End to be about ready to let go from age. Traced Vacuum Line, found Throttle Body end wasn't even connected... and I can't plainly see or feel where it is Supposed to connect to the Throttle Body Vacuum Nipple Under the Casting and other stuff... Truck had a Mildly Rough Idle for years... I had just gotten used to it... That Connection under the Throttle Body was probably bad for Years... I just can't reach up on there to fix it... will probably have my Mechanic reply it for me sometime in January.

@Bruno Biava yea i sent it into AAMCO and they said because i rebuild the engine after having 180,000 miles on it i might as well replace the whole engine because your not supposed to rebuild the engine i had done new heads and gaskets as well with resurfacing it and still have issues but my uncle told me he had messed with the throttle body cable to make it pass smog
@brunobiava4833 Жыл бұрын
@@JaysOffRoadRecovery ...I would disagree with AAMCO on this one... The 2.3 litre I4 Ford put in the Ranger and Mazda B2300 between 1993-1997 was meant to be rebuilt, but I recall that there's a larger V-6 that wasn't... Did you and your Uncle get it to pass smog??? (I know mine would probably fail, too ... and people 'round here wonder why I can't afford to live in California!)
