is that c melody? or an alto with a curved neck? it looks like a very interesting horn
@MelRosenberg12 ай бұрын
It's a C melody from about 1922. It is an interesting horn. I now have a better mouthpiece.

32:20 "plaza", "cafeteria", "patio", "vigilante", "renegade", "guerrilla" (warfare), "cargo", and "platinum" are so English used that one would forget they're from Spanish in a very literal sense.

Alice in Wonderland is so interesting in that even though people don't even know the references, it still is fun. For example, most couldn't recite "How doth the little busy bee" but "How Doth the Little Crocodile" is more likely. (In fact, most of Through the Looking-Glass poems would be like that)

50:00 My version of that was in Beatrix Potter "The Story of a Fierce Bad Rabbit" where there's a good and bad bunny. Although the story is less than 150 words long, I was so careful with knowing which bunny was which, that I literally labelled which one was good and bad.

Wow, this interview was something else! Very dynamic interview and it's refeshing to see such a passionate discussion which was still professional and understanding. That ending section, in particular, was quite informative since it's all about taking being an author as something serious, like a profession rather than merely a hobby or as a dream detached from reality.

why should they smile? They are not there for your entertainment. This is a ritual that has nothing to do with your ridiculous desire for them to grin at you and your camera

Beyond their stern faces they are human beings with kindness and the capacity to smile. I assume that you do as well. Perhaps you misunderstood me. I meant no disrespect. I love Greece.
