Yeah, exactly. I see some bragging about supposedly BBQing in a cat 4 or 5 hurricane. Probably some people are just joking, but the keyboard warriors... Unless your outside grill is an utter badass bolted to the floor, can withstand storm surges, or BBQing in an underground bunker or sth, or live further out of its path, I doubt that their claim is totally true or even true period. It’s most likely those who are BBQing are doing it in a cat 1 or lower, or are awaiting a cat 4 or 5 to arrive, probably indoors bbqing, or maybe afterwards to get rid of food. I mean, bbqing makes sense if the power is out, but if a cat 5 winds can level a house to where there’s nothing but a door stoop, I doubt they’re bbqing during it.
