Hey moose at 4:40 the 18 reversed again. At that point he took it from a turn rate fight to a radius fight. If you kept pulling down to 200-220 kn and followed the scissors, the overshoot would've happened later with maybe enough time for your buddies to get him. Good flying though you guys are always very deadly.

Did your engine keep stalling due them turning on the "random equipment failures" on the ACG server? Saw some mention of it on forums. -.-

I don't think the MiG-21's engine stalls, near ground level, until around 1300-1400 kmh. Probably varies in there depending on AoA & such. Somewhere around 1250-1300 kph is Mach 1 at that altitude, so you don't want to push too much further than that while down on the deck in that dense air.

I'm disappointed they removed the ownship marker in the map screen, too. Especially when your AWACS regularly gets shot down on Red Team. I didn't mind navigating by dead reckoning in Rise Of Flight, but the ground features were easier to make out compared to the in-game map. My short sessions doing DCS multi-player is for the multi-player experience, not the navigation. I had finally begun getting back into flying DCS MP lately, and the Cold War server was going to be at the top of my fav list. This change makes other servers more appealing to me now. I suppose it's a way to weed out the novices, and those still learning the different aircraft?

Dunno if you ever figured out what happened with your refuel stopping, but it was when you went to reload AIM-120s by bringing up the loadout screen a second time. The fuel slider was sitting at 23% that second time, by default, since that's where it had risen to from your first loadout settings. You only reloaded your pylons and adjusted your countermeasures the 2nd time, but didn't move the fuel slider back up to 100% before hitting OK. On many of these servers, they set the default fuel levels on the FC3 aircraft low. In order to make them wait extra time for refueling so it ultimately takes them almost as long as the full fidelity aircraft to do their start-up procedures. i.e To make them sit on the tarmac longer between respawning and getting airborne for respawn balance purposes. Always check the fuel slider on the arming window. ;-)

13:23 Joy-inducing movements usually involve the vertical axis, excessive lateral movement can cause severe injury. Your desalting-stick movements are remarkable tho. :D

Can you explain how to recharge JFS accumulators? I always wondered how is it done when pilot fail to start engine and JFS accumulators needs to be recharged by ground crew.

2:15 -> hold down that wheel brake! Relax your ASC.. That doesn't disconnect it fully, but still increases turning room. Only really dangerous if you're still fully loaded and pretty fueled up AND in excess of 500 kmh Great clips though! ;)
