It's not the best code. GPT never gives you the most optimal code. It's like as if an intern wrote the code for you. I've seen it all in almost 30 years of programming everything from games, to cell phones (os level), to web sites, to AI models. I'm not the best coder, but I can recognize code smell, and almost all of GPT code has smell. I asked it to help me write a PortAudio wrapper in C++ and the code was atrocious. I fed that code into another GPT and asked it to evaluate it on the grounds of memory management and thread safety. I already knew what it was going to say, and I wasn't wrong. It tore that code up. So, yeah, for toy projects it's a fun thing to play with. If you want to do something professional you still need to hire a professional - for now. We'll see if that changes in the future. Good Prompt Fu by the way. That's the way of the future. Youngins might not remember the days of Google Fu. Prompt Fu is like Google Fu on steroids :D

If you used a Kyocera phone in the early 2000s you were running my code :) I helped write the CDMA module as well as a few other things at KWC while I was there. After that I wrote a bunch of BREW games for Kyocera handsets and worked with Qualcomm on integrating some of newer chipsets with BREW. I also worked for Inuit - so Turbo Tax has some of my code. I was on the team that wrote the MS Exchange provider for mobile email, so if you got outlook email on your phone or blackberry in the mid 2000s you were running my code. Some of that code is still running from what I understand.

Yes, I understand your point. But look at it this way, I saw a techno video on TikTok with a TB 303 from the 90s and thought I'd try if ChatGPT could recreate a TB-303. And after that, I thought I still needed beats and ChatGPT created a TR-808. That's pretty great for now 😊!

wow. this is great. i was thinking of learning some RNBO or Max stuff. you should try asking ChatGPT to create a hybrid TB-303 and TR-808 and see what it comes up with. this is incredible. how many prompts did you use to get to the final result? 🙏💃🕺👯 this video might show up one of the sites i read every morning - music radar, synthanatomy, and synhttopia.

I'm glad you like it. It's a hybrid, both work together. After the main prompt, I promptly had to ask for help 2-4 times and asked for improvements a few times. But actually, I had it very quickly.
