Same here. My swing speed is closer to 95-98 and the Air is now my goto ball.

Definitely, different balls can react differently with different swings. I've played the Pro V1X for at least part of the year for years, and for me, the Tour X performs identically for me at a better price. With the three balls in their stable, Maxfli really has an interesting story to tell.

That's a really tough question. I don't see any swing speed recommendations published by Maxfli/DSG. MyGolfSpy compares the Tour S to the Titleist AVX which is generally recommended for high-spin/high-speed players. If you check out our Vice Pro Air video, we used Ping's Ballnamic to pick a ball for my daughter, and it picked the Callaway Chrome Soft. The Tour S is *probably* a good Maxfli comp for the Chrome Soft, so that could definitely work. But the Tour S didn't show up as a recommendation for her. Conventional wisdom says that softer balls are a bit slower off the driver but *might* get you some extra distance on mid-irons because they spin less. I also have a friend that plays the Tour S because he just likes squishy golf balls.

Good question. Lucia is playing through a dozen of the 2022 model balls that were bought earlier this year. Post high-school golf, she's largely played whatever urethane balls I had in the garage, but she's settled on the Chrome Soft after we ran through the Ballnamic fitting.

@@GP-yc2it - I'm curious as to what you mean here. Lucia's driver swing speed is right around 80 MPH. Ball manufacturers *usually* position their softest balls for that swing speed. Ping Ballnamic picked the Callaway Chrome Soft for her (soft urethane ball). I ran the Vice ballfitting tool for her, and it picked the Vice Pro Air. Are you saying that there's a better urethane Vice ball for her? She's not going to play a surlyn ball. Our greens are too hard; she gets tired of good shots rolling off the green.

Yes, they are still CG balanced by the factory.

Can't believe how good they are

Yeah, the Revolution and the Black Max were amazing balls back in the day. The M3 as well. But that golf ball DNA went over to Taylormade with the purchase. Dick's just got the name. That's what makes this ball all the more intriguing in my eyes.

I don't have the numbers with me for all the shots, but the driver SS was right around 102 for both balls.

That would be ideal, but unfortunately neither Sterling nor Madison were available the one day I had time to shoot this video. We wanted to get this out with plenty of time left in the 48 pack sale. So that would have added even more time to the shoot, and my simulator time was limited. This was a full solo effort by me. We'll try that on our next ball review when we have a team doing the shoot.

Interesting. I don't find them to be overly firm. Firm, but not ridiculously so.

I see the 2021 Tour X on the Dick's web site for $29.99 right now.

Really, really hard to hit. Especially the woods. But very satisfying when you do hit them well.

We weren't THAT committed to the bit. But some other teams were.

It looks like they might be available on Amazon. But the price didn't seem as appealing.
