I saw it today on Netflix and the feeling this song gives me is hope along with confusion and despair. What a twist; the only time Iceman truly felt happy was when falling to his death in his own beliefs. One of my favorites.

東京オリンピック開会式は「AKIRAのテーマ」で始めて閉会式は「GHOST IN THE SHELL」のテーマで締めてもらい たかった。あれほど凡庸なセレモニーは悪い意味で歴史に残るでしょう。恐るべし電通！

高層ビルから透明化しながら落ちていく少佐の姿は脳に焼き付つけられた上，すぐこの音楽だよね，引きこまれずにいられなかった。物語もかなり進んでいて，１９９５当時の僕は１１歳でしたので，話についていけなくても，すごく好きになった，時間が進んで２０２３に至ってから改めておもう，２８年前からこの話を考えた人は本当にすごい。

This song has haunted me ever since I first saw the movie so many years ago. It brings up so many emotions that are so hard for me to comprehend. There is so much sadness behind this music, yet there is a hope and a promise that comes through towards the end. Just like Iceman's freedom as he walks away.

Rack mounted gear somehow lost popularity for consumer music gear. But it's so pragmatic and manageable. A shame really. There are modern synths and sample beat-boxes that I'd totally buy in a 1,2, or 3 U format. But I just have to say - nope - I got N number of keybeds already - I'll pass. Same for desktop units - which are even more inconvenient.
