Coming down for bike-a-palooza and staying through the following week! During the week I'm planning to explore a bunch of trails I have not hit before in NWA like Bella Vista, Handcut Hollow, Lake Atalanta, Mt Fizgerald/Bayyari, Lake Fayetteville, and if I have time, revisit Centennial and Kessler. I'll be bringing my Trance E+ 29r so I should be able to get a good sampling of all those. Company is welcome and I'm always glad to drive and will have my ebike rated hitch/platform rack 🙂

This isn't a typical video that I would make. It's part of the trail series which is a series I made to help people preview trails who are coming to town before they ride them. I actually made this same video years ago and it became my most viewed video on the channel. That video is outdated now with the trail updates so I made a new version of it. I have more exciting videos coming that are more normal but this one was more to help people who are researching the trails.

4:36 FYI for any Orbea Rise owners: You can get rid of that suspension creak you hear here by putting some Teflon Tape between the arms and the pivot of the main suspension link and retightening everything back to torque using that purple or green tool you got with your bike. Please pass this on to the owner of Rise & Ride.

@@nwamtb We rented a pair from him about 2 years ago. Loved 'em so much we bought a pair. I've beat on mine hard enough to get the creak. Then figured out how to get rid of it. Technically you're supposed to use a specific Loctite, but the tape serves the same purpose.

why do people wear gloves?
@nwamtb8 ай бұрын
I wear gloves for 2 reasons. #1 I get sweaty hands and that makes the handlebars slippery if I'm not wearing gloves. #2 I wear them for protection. Anytime we fall on our bikes our hands take most of the force since we use them to catch our fall. Gloves have prevented many injuries and cuts on my hands for that reason.

I've never ran out of battery before on a ride but I don't weigh that much. I think the range is usually around 22 miles or so but when you rent them you will get a charger so you can charge it anytime you are at lunch or overnight

Looks fun. As I don't know where you grew up as a kid but where I did, we'd try to ride down the driveways then use the part going up to the curb to jump and on a "good" day with my back (no pain / walking straight / etc) I try to do that with my electric bike with 26 x 4.0 tires here where you can. If that's a good day for me then a "great" day should be me trying to do some of those jumps instead of just riding over them.

I always rode around the neighborhood and hopped curbs for sure. We even made little jumps in our yards.
