Has your switches been broken in yet after lubing them? The neo's seems a lot more muted from what I remember them to be sounding like. Not saying it's a bad thing but just wondering.

nah they aren't. i recorded the sound test right after i put the keyboard together so everything is new.

nice vid and very clean build you might also want to check out the geon raw HE I have a set in one of my friends build and it sound a lot closer to what a normal custom keyboard would sound like

i haven't actually used the hyacinths on this keyboard but in general, i like the sound and feel more of the EVA switches.

on this keyboard i did 3 layers of masking tape on the back of the pcb and then added polyfill inside the case. it really helped improve the sound. i think the lower pitched switches also worked well with the keyboard.

I have this same combination right now. The only problem with my board is I can hear that little bit of spring/leaf ping on the switches. Even after lubing the stem legs, which I usually don't do with tactiles, it's still there. I love the feel of the switches and 90% of the sound in this board is great. But that last little blemish sucks. The fact that I hear it in your sound test at least lets me know that I'm not crazy.

yeah i noticed it too, not sure how to get rid of the ping either. personally, the switches are too heavy for my liking but the sound (minus the ping) is really nice!

they're visible still just only when youre looking right at the keys. the keycap set is supposed to be translucent-ish

are the switches hand lubed as well? that helps a lot. the keycaps can also effect sound depending on material and profile. the only modding i did to the internals is tape mod and force break mod so that will also effect sound. another thing is the way the audio sounded after recording. i didn't have a very good sound set up at this point and everything sounded a bit quieter than in real life. then there's also that plastic-y sound some of the akko switches have. even with my current/better sound set up, my microphone doesn't pick that up very well.
