I have to be honest. If the R-rated version is just a lot of shots of guys with their dicks hanging out, I might not enjoy those as much as I should if that wasn't in it. I love Zack's films but I am wary he can go too far.

Critics were hardly raving about The Magnificent Seven. It was seen as a pretty mediocre remake. The original is a classic and so is The Seven Samurai film that it was based on.

You know that movie magnificent seven with Denzel Washington Christopher Pratt was a remake so I think maybe you should watch the original magnificent seven but then also watch the seven samurai, which is inspiration of the inspiration for Star Wars, as well as I feel like there’s a lot of movies that need to be watched to fully understand where rebel moon comes from

I felt terror and pity and Awe as well as shedding a few tears and feeling my heart full of despair and hope while watching this film. One of the best films of the past decade.

Exactly what a movie is supposed to do. It was a real rollercoaster ride of emotions. I cannot see anyone having a bad time with this movie.
@12douzee10 ай бұрын
Aesthetically the movie was pleasant, but as a technologist I’m tired of writers not doing the hard work of thinking what the singularity, true AI, would actually mean. They would have been far better off adapting Max Brooks’ Robopocalypse which gives a more realistic interpretation of how deadly true AI and robotics could be and how they would evolve - not limiting themselves to the human form.
@didodispeak158810 ай бұрын
You make a great point. I have told people we give ourselves too much credit in thinking that AI would need to create robots to defeat us if it wanted to. Max Brooks is amazing! I will have to check that book out. Thanks for putting it on my radar!

@@didodispeak1588 Godzilla movies are confusing like that. All the 1950s-70s one are one continuity, the 1980s-90s one are a different continuity, the American Monsterverse is a third and then most of the Godzilla films that Toho has made post-1990s have pretty much been one-and-done standalone reboots with no connection to each other.

I saw this last night with my son and it was awesome! I got on my son’s nerves bec I guessed the two big reveals early and kept whispering to him “oh…I’ll bet…” or “I know what that is about!” And then I had to whisper “aaah I told you! I knew there was…” or bouncing in my seat whispering “I knew it! I knew it!” 😂. Also, during the climax, when it was completely silent, I found myself holding my breath! This wasn’t just a great Godzilla movie…..it’s a great movie movie! Everyone will love it even if you don’t know anything about Godzilla.
