Great video! Additionally, I would recommend pulling the pull cord a couple of times after spraying the fogging oil while the spark lug is removed. This will help coat all of the internal parts. I do this every year and in the spring it always starts up like it is brand new.

Mulching leaves on my riding mower was a life saver for me. Nothing wrong with hard work, but between the two properties, I would have to spend an entire weekend raking/bagging leaves, and have 30 bags for pickup. With the mower, I can have everything mulched in a few hours. More time to do other things. God bless technology.

We have many trees and carry the equivalent of 150 bags of leaves to the ravine each year. I started to mulch about 15 years ago, but gave up when we had 6 inches of mulch covering our grass after 3 weeks of mowing. So . . . we don't mulch because we like grass that is alive the following year, not dead, moldy and wet grass.

Not only did this video clear up how to adjust the left stop compared to other videos and other "documentation" online, it cleared up that adjusting the right stop was a matter of trial and error by both twisting the top back to the left stop and back to see where the new right stop is after turning the right stop adjustment screw!

I must say, my Honda lawnmower has given me very few issues over the years, and after a decade or more of usage, it still runs as good now, as the day I bought it! I basically change the oil every now and then depending on how much I use it, and change air filters, and that's it!

Your lucky. I get the dreaded ethanol infused throttle surge every couple of years. Really on all my power equipment. I can clean a carb in 2 hours start to finish.

You've gained no leaf mould for vegetable beds, fruit beds or containers. Moreover, you've ended up just feeding your grass. What a waste of petrol for no gain. It would have cost you nothing in fuel for your lawncutter and 'petrol broom' to use a spring tine rake to get the leaves in a cage to rot down.

After watching this video, I was skeptical about whether I should buy these erosion blankets (Menards in the Midwest carries them, and they are called QuickGrass). I can now report that they work incredibly well. In fact, the only areas that didn’t succeed were the ones where we didn’t use the blankets. If you are doing any kind of renovation, I *highly* recommend these blankets. They provide an easy on-and-off method, keep the seed and soil in place even during storms and bad weather, and has no weeds! They are worth every penny. I would take this video down because it's a misleading review.

so because of this, KBG should be seeded earlier than most cool season grasses? Assuming the typical early/mid September is too late?

Took Mazama 4 days to sprout with peatmoss and woodfiber blanket. I got the blanket because of the slope but of rain is clear, I may pull the wood fiber blanket to use on other parts of my property. Areas with peatmoss and no blanket have not germinated yet.

Yesterday, I planted Johnathan Green Black Beauty Ultra Supreme Grass Seed Blend (cool season grass seed). Today I sprayed Tenacity on the seeds, BUT I accidentally used double the amount of Tenacity that I was supposed to. I used a teaspoon in a gallon of water. Does this mean that the seeds won't sprout? If they will sprout, might this mean that the roots will be weaker?

The peat moss from those two bags were just a lot drier than the rest. Redoing part of my lawn for the fall and this was very helpful, especially for looking for ways to spread the moss with that special rake and reasons to stay away from other materials. Cheers from S. Oregon! 👍

I use the Ballard X blade and two mulch blades set up on my ZTM, and the leaves evaporate. I know Cory used the high lift on the bottom and much on the top, but I have found that two mulch blades work great, have plenty of lift, and have a double mulching effect. Also, a Michigan State study showed that leaf mulching reduces dandelion growth the following year. I do not get dandelions in my mulched lawn.
