The order of integration has not been changed. Because when you take the integral you get another minus again. I am talking about the integral in Endurance, not the integral in Range.

Hey fellow aviation enthusiasts..! 🛩 Just wanted to share my experience with this incredible aircraft performance course - it's an absolute game-changer! 🚀 As a mechanical engineering student, I was initially unsure if I could grasp the concepts, but this course proved to be THE BEST out there! Massive shoutout to Prof A. K. Ghosh for delivering such an exceptional learning experience...! 🙌 The content and examples are so well-presented that it reignited my passion for the subject... Highly recommend to anyone looking to dive deep into aircraft performance.✈

The wind does not increase or decrease the airspeed. in fact, the airspeed remains constant as the throttle is not being touched. but yes, the ground speed changes and because of ground speed, the distance traveled by the aircraft on the ground (called range) changes. and further, the air relative speed changes because of a gust, either vertical or horizontal but headwind or tailwind does not change air relative speed (airspeed). Otherwise the lecture is very good, thorough and quite informative from Sir's own experience and JD Anderson book.

I didn't understand one thing : Why the airplanes in general prefer to fly at high altitude in cruise condition ? What are the advantages ? Higher aircraft speed ? Low probability to encounter gusts ?
@kids138 Жыл бұрын
When it's at higher altitude 1.ground speed would be higher even at same air craft speed 2.pilot would have sufficient time to control or to land in case of any failure Also pilot can glide from higher altitude to safe place

Sir in the problem there is an ISA DEV =280.56-278.244 =+2.3 C in the temp (i.e temperature distribution is not following lapse rate 6.5C/km) . then sir how we can use ISA chart to get pressure data?

Actually pilots are not idiots and also neither bus drivers nor the rickshaw drivers. They have a proper idea about the forces of an aircraft because they learn so many things about that forces specially under the Principals of flight in ATPL. They may no the ins and outs about that thoeries because piloting can't be done by learning deeply a specified thoery so they have to learn about 14 subjects with practicals. It is not their fault or weakness that the pilots did not know all the theoretical facts, because piloting is just not something that can only be learned by theory. Your teaching method is good, i appreciate it But do not make statements that offend the professional dignity of the pilots ( i am saying that because you said at the beginning that pilots fly with instruments without even knowing the four forces)
@houssam2 Жыл бұрын
I don't believe he was insulting pilots. He was just explaining that, we as pilots, need a much simpler way to fly at the right airspeed. Of course, on the ground, we can take all the time we need to understand the equations and many pilots have the ability to understand these equations easily, but when we fly, we're not going to pull out our calculators to figure out what our cruise speed should be at a specific altitude. What pilots need to know and what engineers need to know to do their jobs is different.

V wind, does not increase relative wind under the wings. If that would be true, with increasing wind our pressure (IAS) will be increasing and TAT would be also increasing, which does not happening. As an airplane once airborne, the wind is acting like a current in water, as the air is also a fluid. Basically, what I’m trying to say, we don not change the settings of an airplane when we experiencing a headwind, as it doesn’t affect AoA not CL, only the ground distance flown. The wind does only affects and aircraft on the ground.
