Nah an action button could be useful to map it to something like opening a certain application instantly or taking a screenshot or something, I have the 3 and I think it should’ve been on there but not a deal breaker

The reason nobody wants to talk about it is because they don't want to admit that Quest 3S is the best choice just because of this feature. You could technically set infrared light on the ground or attach the light to the Quest 3, but then you have extra weight and then a bigger headset with added attachments. The Quest 3S doesn't need attachments since the light is inside. I've played with this in complete darkness, and it will still send a notification to turn your lights on, but it doesn't affect your gameplay.

Hi! I have a question. My headset is boot-looping, I think because of some type of hardware failure, most likely a camera (You mentioned it in one video). I wanted to get it fixed, but I live in Europe and that's the problem. I could do a DIY. On to the question: How can I check which hardware is broken? Is it possible to check which camera or any other type of hardware causing this issue?

I liked the ring, idk why. I usually don't really care with console controller change, but here I miss them. I used to put them down upside down and the ring was good foot for them xd oh yeah and it was easier to hold both of them if I needed to free my hand. What I don't miss is my controller battery plate geting lose while playing. Rarely happened, but so far Q3 controllers feels better in that regard.

Electrical engineer here: heres what im thinking, if we just grab the ir led emitters and stick them on a quest 2 we could play in the dark! I keep getting a too dark warning on mine even when blasting my lights (thats what happens if you get efficient smart bulbs) but i added a home assistant automation that brightens and dims my living room lights when i put the headset on. Could you try 2 things, 1. Go in a dark room, wear a quest 2, hold a 3s above your head and let it illuminate your hands and check if it tracks better or the same. 2. Take apart one of the quest 3s illuminators when one comes to your desk in the future or during a teardown

They definitely should keep that as a feature for future Quest headsets. I hope they add night vision next because that would be so cool to play a night vision horror game in mixed reality.

Quest 3 allready track well in dark invoirement. Those IR Emitors should be at the top stuff, which would be equip with tons of futures, not neccesery needed.

Sounds like the fans rubbing so maybe it warped or bent when he was trying to open it up himself or the outer circle of the fan has junk stuck to it rubbing

The tracking on Quest3 and Quest3S is worse especially with really fast movements and close to the rear. Those who have Quest 2 know it already.

Something interesting here for sure well for my work night vision is a must have. The quest 2 has seen so many unknown things with clean lenses, from black mist to children that arent there...

I dont see them going full ar i believe they are gonna separate them with something like quest being a hybrid but a powerful gaming vr and something like orion being a full ar option with little to no gaming choices
