I agree that God owns it all and we should ask donors and not play God. However, I also think that if we are aware of a situation (loss in the family or something), we should be sensitive to that as well. The question is - How well do we know our donors?

Here's our board member PDF: → www.fundraisingmasterminds.net/board9-pdf If your board members are not active and contributing, you need to slowly start to work those board members off your board. If your organization is not their top giving priority (second only to their church) you need to deal with that and enlighten them. There is an old adage for board members with regard to fundraising; give, get or get off. It applies in your case. Hope that helps.

What are examples of matching gifts?

If you want to learn more about matching gifts, you are going to enjoy today's episode! Check out Ep. #65 (releasing in about 1 hour): kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4KYh6Fnm5uHn9U. It's all about matching gifts. As far as some concrete examples, a matching git is essentially a collection of conditionally pledged gifts. The partner says, "I will match every gift for at least $1,200 or $100/month, up to $25,000." A gift of $1,200 becomes $2,400, a gift of $2,400 becomes $4,800, and a gift of $12,000 becomes $24,000. As Jim says so often, matching gifts are a game-changer!

Framing „mission drift“ as this negative thing is just dishonest. I don’t want to live in a world where Disney still upholds Walt‘s xenophobic, antisemitic ideals or where brands have no barrier against using sweat shops for any and everything. Im glad that businesses like Ford or Chanel have left their past in the past… Brands and companies shouldn’t be rigid structures but evolve over time to adapt to the market and zeitgeist. These jokers are just talking, not actually saying anything of value.
