Imma say it. Everyone that wanted the merger to happen was missing the point. That that was what the badguys wanted. And therefore was never going to happen. You were always going to get Sakuna dead. But with the possability that he might come back thanks to the last finger being around should the story ever need to continue. People spent so much time theory crafting they forgot to read what was actually there.

Very true statement I think it’s really getting caught up in what could’ve been. Gege was cooking but everyone was expecting filet minion but it was just five guys or in and out burger…which it’s okay to enjoy both.

15:30 i think this talking point about you being experienced with this medium is how i truly feel about this series. I am REALLY DISAPPOINTED cause i wanted JJK to succeed. I think akutami needs to be a student of the game more than trying to be different. A bit more respect to conventions of storytelling that came before them with their own unique flare would do them good. I also agree on your slow and corny arc opinion.

Thanks for checking out the vid! Yea I think it doesn’t help that myself included a lot of us who are more outwardly critical/haters come across as wanting the series to fail for a long time but in my case it really is a matter of seeing the red flags Mid story when the beginning showed so much promise and was so good.

These new gen shonen mangaka aren't on the same level of writing ability as the previous mangaka like Oda, Kubo, Kishimoto, Togashi, etc. The new gen shonen mangaka lack the restraint to show everything as fast as possible to the readers. The pacing, timing and execution of JJK is simply bad. The characters, moments, story and worldbuilding are poorly developed. Everything feels underdeveloped, rushed, one note and in the end redundant and shallow because these new authors don't seem to be interested in crafting long running series like veteran mangaka did. And if you want things to be properly developed and earned you must invest more time on them. This series is the definition of overrated and wasted potential.

@@BoundfortheFloor-Lump I really like Chainsaw Man and I think Fujimoto is overall the better writer of new gen shonen however I still need to see more from him. There are still a lot to be shown writing wise. A lot depends on what will happen in this part 2 and/or if the series is going to continue afterwards. How he's gonna explore and expand upon the world and story as well as the implications of the recent events upon the characters and world. But the pacing is still too fast, it's almost as if these mangaka are in speed run mode or something. xD Sakamoto Days also has potential but it suffers from the same pacing issues. They need to have more restrain and commit to longer series if they want to reach the same heights as older series.

@@sam5626 I completely understand that. But art is pain and the best works generally speaking take the longest to make. It's just the way it is. To feel the best catharsis you have to have the proper time to build things up so everything feels earned, otherwise it comes out as forced and insincere and falls flat. People feel it whether consciously or not.

If we took a few chapters before the Sukuna vs. Gojo to show some of the training instead of the snippets that we got, the Shinjuku Showdown would've been 10x better, along. I wouldn't say this was a horrible ending like everyone is saying, the Mahito and Sukuna talk was great, but It's extremely unsatisfying. JJK all and all is an overrated, but decent series. Hopefully Gege learns from JJK in his next series.

I dont think its as bad as people make it out to be. I have qualms with the lack of gojo acknowledgement (not even a funeral bruh) and how gege dropped an unecesssry simple domain lore no one wanted lmao but after rereading it a few times, i think it really to shows the "essence" of jjk. kaisen means 'to keep improving' in jpn and that can be seen with gojo's dream for the kids, for them to develop their own strengths, thus the chapter titled "continuation of a dream".

To be fair I think gojo having a dialogue with the people who passed when he died, and another yuji flash back in this chapter and having the scene of the trio reading his letter is more than enough and more than any other character got when they passed as the story really hasn’t cared to take the time to let the readers mourn with its fast pacing

Here's why I think the swap training wasn't introduced earlier in the story: - there'd be no point in doing so to anyone apart from Yuji. - swap training probably doesn't automatically make it so that the people who swapped can use each others' abilities. Rather, it enhanced their understanding, through muscle memory and whatnot. - Yuji managed to grasp rct because he's already had half the work done for him, since his body can replenish blood using cursed energy already. - as for simple domain, Yuji's body experienced high level barrier techniques from Sukuna. Kusakabe only had to refine his understanding using the swap technique, and perhaps give a few pointers. - Because Yuji is the only one who can benefit largely from this, that's why it wasn't introduced earlier in the series, when Sukuna was inside Yuji's body. It would've like Mahito when he tried to invade Yuji's body to touch his soul. - So this technique is highly situational, hence why it wasn't brought up earlier.

Ragnarok will be the WG invading, and possibly destroying Elbaf. I wish Kizaru had been there to witness Saturn's death. I think Bonney and Lilith will be official Strawhats, if not already. Lilith doesn't "take a part of Franky's role" as most claim as she is a scientist first, Franky a shipwright (Lowkey think he'll get some focus in Elbaf as Vikings were known for their shipa, plus there is the issue with tree Adam), and mechanics is where the two overlap.

!!!SPOILERS FOR ANYONE SEEING THE CHAPTERS FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! The way I see it is that even though the fatal blow wasn't shown in real time, it was just an instant and abrupt attack just like when Gojo's arm got cut off in an instant. So contrary to most people, I actually like how this was executed. There would've been even less closure than what we got if Gojo were to be offed in a single panel, and I personally don't think seeing him sliced in one panel and fall dead in another right after the "Gojo will win" panel would add anything to the satisfaction factor. There really wasn't much that was absent by it being off screen. It is indeed a crazy thing to do, but I'm completely backing Gege for this one.

I wouldn't say that this battle doesn't abide by the same rules as the rest of the series, it's just that the two strongest sorcerers of the story can expand and extrapolate the system in ways that are unconventional and inconceivable to weaker sorcerers, which ends up being everyone else we've seen in this series so far. It's not really that what Gege explained in length is irrelevant now, it's more that what would be appropriate guesses and assessments for usual sorcerers don't apply to the two strongest characters.
