Quite "Beatle-esque" moves and were criticized for it at the time, but still a great song.

Some song age, but not this hit. This song's words still sting, and the beautiful harmonica stills cries.

This band was done a huge disservice by being lumped in with the Lilith fair ilk when they’re much more akin to being The Roches of the 90s

I wonder what Lennon and McCartney thought of this song. I bet they liked it. It was certainly an attempt to kind of capture that mersey sound, but it has just enough of its own character.

He appeared with the band in the 1965 science-fiction/comedy movie Village of the Giants, which was featured in a 1994 episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Petersen also appeared with the band as The Beau Brummelstones on The Flintstones television animated sitcom in the season six episode "Shinrock A Go-Go," which originally aired on December 3, 1965. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Petersen_(musician)

Their sound so resembled the British Invasion that not only were they mistaken for being English, but they didn't deny it.

I have been especially proud to come from the time period I did. Nothing like it before nothing like it since. The music was our communication system with each other. Starting with The Beatles on Ed Sullivan Show and progressing on through Woodstock. In my 70s now I'm still captivated by the wonder of it all in retrospect. We were young and adventurous funding new ways of being. Always the music was central to our way of life. Good video here captures the look and sound of the time.
