Not yet! :) I have been perfecting my general listing techniques lately and haven't spent much time on automated pricing. But it is a really fun prototype, and I hope to pick it up again sometime in 2025.

eBay has a separate upload report option to 'Revise' items. That allows you to change things like price or quantity for an active listing that already has an item number. However, that report does not have any way to change the Image URL field. Ugh! One possible solution: Download your upload report (which has the listing fields and the image URLs), change the 'PicURL' field to the new images, and upload the file again. This will spit out new listings. So you would still have to remove the "old" (previously uploaded items) from your store. Not the most elegant solution, but should work. You could also use the Revision template mentioned earlier to reduce the quantity of the same items.

What is your upload method? Where do you host your images (eBay, AWS, etc.)? I have not found a clever way to find source image URLs unless you use the Bulk Upload Report method. Very annoying. The eBay Active Listings Report does not have any information related to the source of the images unfortunately.

@@MG_TheGame33SCC Thanks for watching! I have 2 separate inputs-the scans, and the card details (which I type shorthand inputs into Google Sheets) that correspond to the scans. Practically what this means is that I take scans of cards and then fill out info about the card on my Google Sheets input template. The main benefit of the background Python logic is the ability to convert ~15 input columns on Google Sheets into ~45 output columns for the eBay upload. Huge time savings compared to typing all 45 per card while maintaining a high listing quality. There are a couple programs out there you can pay for that will use Machine Learning to try and auto-populate card details by processing images. Really nifty for high volume sellers. Card Dealer Pro and Kronocard are the two most popular. My main hesitations with those programs for my goals are cost and image recognition accuracy. I am content spending a bit more time adding card details “for free” with good accuracy using my technique. Plus, Google Sheets adds functionality with things like drag-and-fill and equations/functions that can greatly help with data preparation before going to the Python script. Sorting is no fun, but the inputs get pretty fast if you can copy most of the data (ex. Year, Set, Features, image file numbers, etc).

@@gadgetport I use pCloud, which has a Public Folder with accessible web links. There are surely more integrated solutions, like AWS, but pCloud has been great for a quick solution. One-time cost with plenty of storage. Main key for me has been to have logically ordered image numbers, so I can make simple programs to associate the links with the items in my upload file.

You will have to modify the format, but you can use the data. (Disclaimer: I do not sell with Shopify, so I am basing this response on their documentation and not personal experience.) It looks like Shopify requires multiple rows for the same product to correspond to multiple images (see: help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/import-export/using-csv#prepare-your-images for more info). eBay uses the pipe character "|" to delimit multiple images for the same product, all on a single row in the .csv file. To convert, you could use a common spreadsheet function like "split" to split your eBay PicURL field by a specified delimiter, like "|". Then, you should be able to transpose or modify the split elements into new rows.

This is my main .csv upload tutorial for now, but I plan do make a few more soon! There is also a Bulk Listing Tool on eBay that does not require a .csv upload. It is not as powerful but also makes it easier to yield a successful upload.

Hello do you use gpts? I have about ten ideas and the first concerns SEO and automation. I don't know how to go about it and I would like to know if my ideas are good and feasible. My first idea for automation would be to have my Zik Analytic SEO software scan all my eBay listings, then automatically do keyword research and change all the keywords without my intervention. @@cgc2300 I have not used any AI software like ChatGPT for my eBay listings at this point. I am not the best resource on use cases, especially when thinking about APIs and integrated workflows involving AI. With that said, I think you have some great ideas, especially with using GPT to analyze Search Engine Optimization (SEO). While I am not an expert on SEO, I observe numerous eBay titles and listings that seem extremely weak. With my store, I aim to maximize the use of the 80 character limit on titles and fill in as many of the item description fields as possible. I have briefly experimented with eBay's AI feature for Descriptions, and I was not impressed. I found the wording to be obviously artificial, and it did not seem to add value to the listing. Perhaps some buyers like it, but I did not as a seller. I can see value in integrating GPT with Google Sheets. I think this because of how versatile the .csv file is for eBay and other e-commerce platforms. Google Sheets makes for simple, shareable inputs and universal outputs (.csv). So a GPT that assesses inputs and then optimizes outputs could bring a lot of value to bulk listings especially. I should also mention that--at the moment--I do not work with any direct APIs. I am doing my bulk listing "offline" and then uploading a .csv file as an Upload Report. I do intended to explore the eBay API in the future for active listings analysis and accounting. If I reach that point, I will definitely make some videos on those topics.

Most important things for uploading: - First row of the .csv needs to be the eBay template info - Column headers need to match what eBay expects - Any rows with required codes must match what eBay allows… for example, Condition ID for many categories must often be a specific integer - Required fields must be complete But there are small nuances that can cause problems, too. Never had an issue. I have always used semi-rigid protectors and not toploaders, which I am convinced helps. Only Returns to Sender that I’ve received have been address issues.
