To me the game was always a hack job. When you go to the tournaments it’s always the same five broken characters.

You're not wrong though, tournaments are basically unwatchable unless you like watching Storm/Sentinel/3rd char mirror matches. Still my favorite fighting game, but it's extremely unbalanced and spammy.

@@Centerpiece-Entertainment that's literally every fighting game. As if MvC1 isn't just Wolverine/Strider, sometimes Spiderman. People just know more about MvC2 because it is played much more, tournaments don't have to reflect what people play casually, MvC2 has a massive roster and almost every single character in it is fun to play because of how the system works, finding synergies with different teams is what makes it so good. Only sweat lords play Storm, Mag, Sentinel, Cable, Psylocke, Iron Man teams online, everyone else plays teams like these with mid/low tiers.

"it seems like" mvc2 is the better game. There more variables and variety than mvc1, and carries over the same style of fighting. Mvc1 is the best of the 6 button marvel fighters, but 2 is superior and has been around for 2 decades strong

If the tiny logo outside of the 4:3 play field was any smaller or unobtrusive, it would be subliminal advertising. 😂

Definitely not a top tier😂 somewhere in the low a tier maybe. WAYY too linear and not enough threat on lows. Back 4 is insane tho. That move is completely busted
