Hey I am glad I did not have money on that question cause I hate losing. I thought Richard Matheson was the author. He had a lot of good writing too

I am still a Thriller fan. Was delighted when it was released on VHS and DVD and still watch it on youtube, etc and my DVD's. The one thing that I can't stand was the intro music. Please understand - I really like jazz - I went to see Gato Barbieri 3 times (Lord rest his creative soul). But that intro music - what genius thought of that? Must have been somebody's relative. My favorite was and still is Pigeons from Hell. Nobody but nobody writes about the elephant in the room in that episode that was totally ignored. Yeah it was the scariest to me but that is not the hot issue I am writing about. Anybody want to ask me? (I was 12 and made my mother sleep in my room for 3 nights which she as ok with BUT NOT OK when I asked about the hot topic - she got embarrassed and would not answer).

Everytime Boris Karloff spoke, he sounded like he was reciting poetry. There'll never be anyone who matches his charisma.

Don't know about you but I love to read trivia and learn that the people I like act like a real person. Makeup people liked and respected Karloff because he was on time and very civil. No attitude, no power of the hour crap - just a real person.

Do you notice how many of the brilliant actors on these old TV shows can come up with those cool foreign accents like the woman fortune teller? How many actors nowadays can even attempt to do accents? 💥

Ive always enjoyed the character actors of the 50s 60s and 70s. Henry Jones, George McCready and their counterparts could seamlessly go from thriller to westerns to police shows to dramas. I absolutely love this stuff. Thank you!!

These people were good at their craft and glad to say that got a lot of work. A Thriller one week and a western the next and they were good in both.

I was in a relationship with a gentleman that amicably ended in early 2010. His voice always mesmerized me. I just realized why. He sounded amazingly like Mr Karloff, without the British accent. My beau's mouth and tongue moved in the same manner. It was so soothing to put my head on his chest while we cuddled and talked. RIP Mr Karloff and my Captain Jeff. You both impacted my life in such positive ways!

Is it just me, or does anyone else get the feeling that the 1960's was the decade that gave true meaning to the expression "Peak Television"? Brilliant episode anyhow. Thank you so much for posting.

This story is also featured in the anthology called 'Asylum' produced by Hammer in the 1970's - it's a shorter version, but darker.

Not Hammer films, Amicus, a rival company in large contemporary to Hammer, founded by American film producers Milton Subotsky and Max J. Rosenberg active in England, where as Hammer was genuinely British. The differences between the output of the two companies is interesting.

Thank you so much for this lovely Thriller upload. I read this story in jr high- in an Alfred Hitchcock collection for juvenile readers. I was so thrown off by Bloch's ending.🙃. John Williams was in 18 episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He's perfect for this role. All class.

Still getting people to watch this, 118 years later. AMAZING🤔!!! George's work, is presently infiltrated (and always, has been), in our cultural society it's been in recent music, and movies. Like, Cage The Elephants 'Messing Around' (2015), and the film🎞️ "HUGO" (2009). He isn't, going anywhere☺️!!!
