If there was one thing that Jack & Eric had in common is that they lost their companies to hostile takeovers. Eric lost Forrester with a 49/51% stake to Brooke his former second wife, while Jack loses Jabot to Victor Newman from 1989/1999 but they got their companies back. Also keep in mind that they both played Captain Hook and Jack Ellis who played Fenner on The Prison Drama Bad Girls also played Captain Hook and he also played Bookie Harry Mason on Coronation Street, Britain's Longest Running UK Soap Opera.

holy moly....i haven't seen this since it aired in Canada and to see the full intro is just unreal....i think it's one of the best intros of any science series....although Cosmos is also up there...I think they were superb hosts for kids...this was such a unique show. I was missing it after it stopped airing. And I'm a life-long career scientist in part because of it :).
