This was my favorite job on Metro Region and Metro North. There were two GMC diesels to run the bridge up and down. When I was the operator there, we did not need a bridge gang to get it open, Age has caught up with these bridges.

Dennis the MTA does not fund capitol projects in CT. CDOT is 100% responsible for funding capitol projects in CT. The current service agreement only covers the operating costs. New stations, upgrades, new cars etc must be funded by our state legislators. I just looked at the 2013-2016 Financial Plan (see web.mta.info/mta/budget/pdf/Adopted_Budget_Feb_Financial_Plan2013-16.pdf), Mitch can you explain your statement more fully. It doesn't look like funding is being cut, but I am just trying to get up to speed on this, and there is probably plenty of background I am not aware of.
