@MetallicHeatTreatment are you threatening this commenter? Chuck Adair married his victim the day after she turned 18. He was never rehabilitated and you should be ashamed of yourself. I’m reporting your comment as a threat.

@MetallicHeatTreatment Before his arrest in 1995 in Las Vegas for child sex assault, he was featured on America’s Most Wanted after he fled Texas with his child victim. He was convicted in 1996 and sentenced to 10 years in prison. He had been a youth pastor at a church in Dallas, Skillman Church of Christ, and then a youth pastor at Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland, Texas. He met his victim at that church in Midland.

@@garrett_d_sutton So let's recap. You believe the man's identity and behavior are one in the same? Once a registrant always a registrant? Yes, I condemn his past behavior and what he did. However, since serving his sentence and completing supervised release he hasn't reoffended. Look at where he is ministering now, Watermark church, and read what the elders have stated. He doesn't volunteer, supervise, or lead any children or youth ministry activities. Adair has been open about his past misdeeds and he's accountable to many people.

Nope. The man served his time and has lived offense free since his release from prison (including community supervision). He's accountable to multiple people and doesn't volunteer or work in any children's or youth ministry functions.

@MetallicHeatTreatmentAs long as there are no children attending this church it shouldn’t be a problem. Does this church not allow children?

@garrett_d_sutton If children attend the church I'm sure he's chaperoned on church grounds. I doubt very highly he's left to wander unsupervised.

First clue: ReGen, Recovery are false systems that deny Christ and HIS healing power through His Word and the Holy Ghost. Recovery comes out of the rick warren who is a known false prophet. "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1

Yes, but no. There are certainly instances where exactly what you need will just happen or be provided without you doing anything for it. They are also certainly instances when He will give you opportunities to make a choice or take action. You may be in financial trouble and pray and rather than money ending up in your doorstep or someone covering a bill or whatever you are given the opportunity to work overtime or you have things that God knows you don’t need and could sell etc.

"The Ten Commandments are one of the most iconic portions of scripture." "Ten Commandments: You Shall Not Steal" You shall not steal is NOT one of the commandments the Bible calls the ten commandments ( btw the old testament has 613 commandments, not just 10).
@crosscommunitychurch-poteau2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you for your comment. You can find the Ten Commandments listed in Exodus 20:3-17. Specifically, Exodus 20:15 (ESV) lists the 8th commandment, which is "You shall not steal." We hope this is helpful!

@@crosscommunitychurch-poteau " You can find the Ten Commandments listed in Exodus 20:3-17. " No, I can't. And neither can you. There ARE ten commandments there but they are not the commandments the Bible calls the ten commandments. " Specifically, Exodus 20:15 (ESV) lists the 8th commandment, which is "You shall not steal." We hope this is helpful!" That commandment does appear there, but the Bible never calls it one of the ten commandments. The phrase "the ten commandments" does not appear in the scripture until Exodus 34, specifically Exodus 34:28 "And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments." The complete list of the commandments that the bible calls the ten commandments appears in Exodus 34:14-28. Here are the commandments that the Bible itself calls the ten commandments: 1) Thou shalt worship no other god. 2) Thou shalt make thee no molten gods. 3) The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. 4) Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day rest. 5) Thou shalt observe the feast of weeks. 6) Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord God. 7) Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven. 8) Neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left until the morning. 9) The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the Lord thy God. 10) Thou shalt not seeth a kid in his mother's milk. In the Bible, the very first commandment god hands down is in Genesis 1:28 "Be fruitful, and multiply, " I hope this is helpful.

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Tonight (March 13, Lent 1), we had a Lent service at my church. This was the Gospel of the Evening. Our current interim pastor talked about growing up on Long Island, NY. The northern shore was rocky, but the southern shore was sandy and a lot of people built homes there. Needless to say, whenever a hurricane hit (Hazel, Sandy, etc.), those homes suffered damage or were destroyed. But people still continued to rebuild and live there. Go figure.
