I know I’ll get a bit of stick from this comment; but I remember the Battle of Stratton…….. from a possible past life. I used to dream of it as a kid before I heard of it. I remember looking at the royalist troop movements from the top of the hill, from the roundhead side. I remember I stood next to a small rough cast canon, pointing out troop movements to the gunner. We were on top of a hill, looking down. I had a possible dark marque or long open tent behind me. There were more ‘senior officers’ standing behind us, under the marque. I remember suggesting to a senior person to the watch the road/lane to the left, down hill from where we stood, as I suspected the enemies’ cavalry to come up this side lane to attack. I remember the canon shot being fired and watching the canon ball bounce down the hill towards the enemy. I remember many of the others laughing at the canon ball’s affect on the enemy. There were cheers, something like, ‘take that you bastards!’. It felt like it was a big game. The whole ‘memory’ is only about 40 seconds long, just a snippet. Look, if someone finds this thread upsetting, I will remove it. I’m not after notoriety, or attention, I’m 61 now and just want to state a fact.
