For a little while, I actually thought that was truly Ian Curtis. The likeness is unbelievable.

Riley's portrayal of Ian Curtis is so compelling and so complete it's almost uncanny. It's as if he's actually become Ian what an incredible piece of acting.

Shouldn't they be playing Shadowplay in this scene?

'Control' could be the best rock biopic ever, the young actor playing Ian Curtis was magnificent, he really nailed that role, fantastic acting.

This movie is epic. Riley is amazing. Hard to see the difference between Ian/Riley. Oscar material. Best music-movie ever.

I was at this concert in Santa Cruz 1979 . Great, but my complaint is ...I had not space to dance... we ..the public.. were squished like sardines . I couldn't live the music 🎶... Oh well , I'm dancing it now 🕺 ☺️

Vini has been the soundtrack of my life since the early 80s. A have the original vinyl for many of his albums and Spotify every year tells me he is my #1 band. As a drummer I was always fascinated by Bruce’s unique playing style and combined with vinni’s haunting guitar it has followed me like a soundtrack for 40 years. I salute you both.

Oh hell. The pain is so obvious. I was never really into Joy Division, or later New Order, so although I bought every issue of NME and Melody Maker, I might have only glossed over stuff about them at the time. What sadness I get now, finding out more about Ian Curtis. About an illness he couldn’t control. I hadn’t known about his severe epilepsy until today. I only knew the music. His epilepsy treatments didn’t work for him and it seems worsened his depression. It’s just heartbreaking. I really hope that the treatments for epilepsy have improved since this poor tortured young man ended his life.
