Pick literally any other color but that red. The definition on the shingles does not translate well on camera.

I ran across a plan using a "cornice", no mention of the usual fascia details (material, size) that I would normally use to determine what size of subfascia to use. (eg, 8" aluminum fascia gets 2x8 wood subfascia, where 8" smartboard gets size under, 2x6) So whats the diff? I've never seen a cornice on a plan before, does it still require subfascia?

Roof came with house but was wondering how can I stop it from damaging the gutters because I will be replacing my gutters soon. I have a question please. Is it recommended to do a partial shake replacement (perhaps 600 sf or a 1200 sf side of a house)? Specifically how is the mesh underlayment and roofing tarp paper aligned when trying to tie in existing shakes with new shakes over a large surface. Our concern being potential leaks where the new shakes abut with the existing shakes. Thanks - and great video!

Why do we still need ventilation in the soffit when we have central air? Isnt this ventilation will contradict with AC?

OMG! Most roofing contractors have a dumpster near by. Or, at least large tarps covering the ground. I cant imagine how much damage was caused to those garage doors and the decking, Ice and Water goes ON TOP of the All drip edge.

The reason to Not put EPDM (rubber) on a restaurant is not heat. It’s because restaurants produce grease and oils on the roof. EPDM is eaten and deformed by any sort of grease or oil products. That’s it.
