Let me retract a comment I made about Michael Talley 9 years ago, because according to James Voskuil, there was nothing to blame Talley or Webber for. The U of M bench, according to Voskuil, was urging Webber not to call timeout. Voskuil said Webber misinterpreted their signals and thought they were urging him to call a timeout. Voskuil called it a miscommunication. I tend to agree with him.

Temple shoulda won this game easily considering their sixth man on the floor was a future NBA all star.

Who ever would have thought that the second team to visit the dump known as Jacksonville, Florida (Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans was the first) would be the GREEN BAY PACKERS?! Heck, the 49ers made TWO visits to Jacksonville BEFORE the Raiders FIRST visit there!

The only reason Michigan won this game was because Jamal Mashburn fouled out. They had zero answers for him. The Fab Five talked a lot of trash but never delivered I don’t understand why they get celebrated

In the Fab five 30 for 30, Jalen Rose said "we felt like we slayed the giant in Kentucky" damn i see why now. What a game 🥶💯 Chris Webber was a monster

The only reason why Kentucky lost was because Jamal Mashburn fouled out. The Fab Five was losing that game to North Carolina when Webber called that time out. I have no idea why the Fab Five get celebrated so much for a team that talked so much trash and never delivered

@@kevinshell8392 I'd love to sit with Mashburn and ask him what on earth was going through his head when he committed that absolutely horrific foul on Juwan Howard....Just an all-time brain fart that probably cost his team the game.

@ …… But honestly I didn’t see much of a foul but yes you’re right he should have let that go especially when you mean that much to your own team
@elliemyers64352 ай бұрын
@@kevinshell8392 That was a definite foul...Had two hands on his back, and also clipped him on the elbow a little bit. Just an absolutely awful play. To this day, 31 years later, I have no idea what he was thinking in that moment.

It's a shame that Mashburn fouled out of the two biggest games he played in. Also loved how Rose looked at the refs for a call at the end of regulation but got away with a clear charge right before.

This North Carolina team should’ve won a national championship. Unfortunately, Shammond Williams choked and both final fours, and it’s shaky shooting and led to them losing ass favorites in both matchups.

Two things: Quinn Buckner's reaction of laughing out of disbelief every time that Jeff Fryer hit one of his rainbow, perfect form,, all net threes was classic for this game. Not a big Buckner fan, but for this game and those shots, it was perfect. Second, living in L..A. and the absolute feelings of horror, of overwhelming sadness, and just sorrow when Hank Gathers died and how that started a turbulent decade in SoCal was unforgettable. This game brought so much joy and elation and I am not even an LMU fan or anything. All of LA rallied around this rag tag Lions team that had heart and stamina. Amazing!
